Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

IMO it’s not that they’re fine with the characterization, it’s that they’re lost in the love triangles the story puts out. In Aang’s arc everything was practically straight forward in terms of relationships, with Sokka being the most complicated. Yet Zutara, Kataang, Tyzula and everything under the sun popped up because of the show’s popularity.

Now you have the writers including plot twists revolving around relationships and it’s fueling the volcano. Bolin left out in the cold last season? Two prospects this season! Lin Bei Fong got Tenzin stolen from her, pair her with Bumi! (seriously, we saw a short glimpse of Bumi in the season finale and the fandom went NUTS pairing him with her. Gotdamn!)

You know, it sucks that Bumi is not a bender. Being named Bumi, I was thinking he would also be an earth bender. You lacked your viagra that night, Aang.

Let’s be honest, EVERYONE want nuts for Bumi.

His first lines were basically a damn HOWL!

We need some more Kya though as well. I want to see how she fits into everything personality wise.

He don’t need viagra when the wife can bloodbend

Some Kya trivia
Kya was named after her maternal grandmother, Kya.
Kya was the name given to Katara’s character in the pilot episode.
Kaya, similar to Kya, is the name of a young girl in the movie Princess Mononoke which has already inspired the creators many times before.
Bryan Konietzko described Kya as a proficient healer and a “hippie”. She is said to share a special bond with her niece Jinora.[7]
By the end of the first book of The Legend of Korra, Kya was the only one of Aang and Katara’s children who had not appeared.
Kya shares her mother’s skin tone, and is as such the only one of Aang and Katara’s children to share the same skin tone as one of their parents.[8]
Kya is the first known child of an airbender to be a waterbender.
Kya’s favorite song is “Secret Tunnel”.[7]
Kya is the second known person with Air Nomad heritage to have been born after the Air Nomad Genocide.
Kya always felt a stronger connection with her mother rather than her Avatar father.

I wanna know if Kya and Bumi have kids of their own.

Alright just gotta ask…WTF is up with the old women on this show lol.

In the avatar world if a female is in the 40-60 age range she gets more hotter…kya and Lin would get the senseless fuck fucked outta them. Only downside is that becuase their old you can’t go as hardcore but still…gilfs apparantly are the shit in this world.

Probably because the time we spend with Women in the 20-30 age range is extremely low.

All that martial arts and spiritual energy results in a massive shower of antioxidants making them overripe but not spoiled

Nigga they are benders. I’m sure they can take whatever you dish and bounce it back tenfold on your bird ass.

Can they handle the “D” bending…only time will tell.

You’d rather the mature women on this show look like they did in Aang’s arc?

Threesome?

Nah too much work to lube that shit up.

Animation + Bolin + Girl Twin make up for a lot that happened so I’d say it was a good opener. I thought the ending of Season 1 was just that, an ending to the whole series and the newer season would be extra. I’m glad that she will become a more spiritual person in this season and I’m excited to see her become a more humble person. I always thought that waterbenders would naturally be just almost as spiritual as Air Benders (although they are monks) but seeing that it’s not just Korra’s fault for not being more involved in the physical realm. Her father has some fault. Honestly a lot was explained for her being the way she is including the (over-)analysis by others. I’m excited for this season in all honesty.

Maybe because I’m a very spiritual person (read: not religious just spiritual) that I like that they are possibly going more into detail on the spirit world and seeing Korra’s journey for this season. I don’t particularly like Korra’s personality most of the time (always liked Zuko and Iroh from TLAB). She tries to hard to be a bit of everything (leader, follower, brash and what not) but I wish she’d stick to one personality type instead of being everywhere.

Still a decent start to the season.

I don’t even know where to start about this season. It’s enjoyable so far, though I do feel that the journey to the South Pole felt a bit rushed, though any more than one episode would bother me.

I am rather saddened that Asami most likely won’t get as much as screentime as she did in Book 1, considering that they’re dealing with spirits and she’d be almost useless since she has no bending and I doubt she even still possesses her stun glove. We bearly even see her in the first episode; all we know is she’s struggling as head of Future Industries because of her father’s association with the Equalists. If anything, Asami’s going to be reduced to a minor role and suffer from Faux Action Girl syndrome.

The Mako/Korra segments don’t really bother me. Seeing how they got together/gained feelings for other at a pace that I find unable to be described, I’d say it’s due to the fact that they’re both teenagers with hormones, and you can kinda take it from there. Korra’s actually becoming insufferable, but I’m glad that they’re showing flaws in the main character (IMO a young girl who believes she has everything downpacked when in reality she doesn’t).

The scene where Korra just dropped Tenzin as her tutor broke my heart though. That man took her in as his own daughter and had her back for how long? And she just dismissed him because she believed he wasn’t that good of a teacher. Seeing that Korra’s the reincarnation of Aang, I’m pretty sure Tenzin felt like it was his own father just bashing him.

Lastly, this Tumblr postsays everything about Unalaq feels about Korra. Overall, I can’t wait to see more.

That’s another thing that bothered me…korra is a huge idiot these opening episodes.

How could she not see her uncles obvious evil intentions…the guy played her and she can’t catch on that maybe something’s a bit off about him.

The writing just doesn’t make sense.

Evil intentions to do what? What did he do?

So far the only thing he’s done is be the only one actually effective against rampaging spirits and helped Korra calm the Everstorm and restore the Southern Lights.

We have a potential occupation force but we don’t know the specifics. And she wasn’t present for his past with her father.

It’s a LOT easier to notice someone’s evil intentions when they’re viewers on the outside.

From the POV of korra, anyone with basic skills of observations can tell the guy gives off bad vibes such as constantly bad mouthing her dad. If it were me I’d be like"what’s up with all the dad bashing."

Lin? I love that old ass broad. Her and Toph are by far my favorite characters.
