I really think you should go back to the way it was done previously…Stills and animation all in one or just do all stills or all animations.
Don’t end the deadline on a weekend and let there be a poll and count it as one judge =/ that’s my opinion of it anywayz… and don’t let OC judge…cause then he won’t make an AV.
Hey quiche asked for suggestions, so I gave him mine. Having both still and animation is a bit much, they’re two different forms of art, and hell I say make those skilled in one attempt to work with the other, see what OC can do with stills and what others can do for animation.
And I still think black doesn’t work because it’s a color I rarely see associated with Calvin Klein and it’s still too negative for my tastes. Hell, now that I think about it, editing that thong of his into a pair of tighty whities would have been the best bet, yes sir.
If you use a bit-mapped font, turn the anti-aliasing off and make use of the eyedropper tool to lower the color pallete, you can bring the file size down drastically and make it look even better.
yeah i didn’t know how u guys were lowering the kb size…i’ll try to learn how to do those things…at least i know what i can do to lower the size… thx rei~
If he edited the thong into a pair of briefs, then the product wouldn’t be “for him & for her”. It’d just be “for him”. Women don’t wear briefs, they wear panties.
The product inside the box could be anything (fragrance, sunglasses, boxers/briefs, whatever), but we’re assuming it’s the thong because that makes sense. With that assumption, it’s meant to be the center of attention. So the background was black in order to give sharp contrast to the product and have the product clearly visible and stand out from the rest of the image.
If the product had been something dark, like a pair of sunglasses, it would have made more sense to use a lighter background – light tans and browns, like a beach scene – in order to give contrast to the product and make it stand out. Because you don’t want the product to blend in and fade away with the background, you want it to do the opposite.
And as Rei pointed out, CK often uses grey scale and dark/dramatic imagery.
