I played at LL yesterday and the 1st player side is now completely screwed. I kicked it tryin to break it but I failed. I will bring a hacksaw with me next time and cut the damn thing off. They will have to replace it then right?
I finally sat down last night and fixed my joystick. I tightened all the connections, secured wires, secured the board, and everything else. I think it is good to go except for one of the switches is kinda sketchy. I got online and ordered all new buttons(convex)and a bunch of replacement switches and a new joystick. So maybe the next time I put in a bag it won’t fuck up on me. Home get togethers can be possible when I get this all straightened out. Hopefully soon cuz LL is fucked!!!

Well, we fucked up on the next control we tried…<sigh> we tried to take a shortcut by soldering straight on the jigsaw wire where the buttons go and cutting off the ground before that so that having solder on both sides wouldn’t matter. We tried it out on the board we messed up before this and it worked, so we did the same to this one expecting this one to work also, but of course it didn’t.

There is a place in cedar park on 1431 towards jonestown called PinballWizard. They work out of a couple of self-storage garages. They have some stuff but when I went they didn’t have the convex buttons. They gave me a new joystick for 10 bucks and since I wanted the convex buttons and they didn’t have them the guy gave me 7 used buttons and some cherry switch replacements for free. You should call them and see what they have. I am not sure of the brand name of my stick but it works great. They also have some used cabinets, boards, and pins for sale for pretty cheap. I am thinkin of gettin one of the pins they have once they refurbish it. They had MK2 there for cheap too and it was real hard not for me not to write the check and take that sucka home right then. That was a game!

Dude, you would probably never see me again were I to fill up my garage with some pinball machines. I’ve always wanted to buy some. Unfortunately, I just bought a digital piano, and I’m all out of mad money…
My stick seems to be better than ever. I’ve also got a happ competition joystick and a bunch of convex buttons that I’ll probably never use. I dunno if I’ll ever get around to making a second controler. Bring on the get togethers…

Noone goes to LL lately because of the 1st player side. It doesn’t block low sometimes and half circles are very iffy. When they replace or repair it ppl will come back I guess. After all there is no where else to play.

This sucks, we really don’t have a place to play for a while. I’m going to LL to check out the sticks and complain to them if they’re bad, if people come I’ll play on the 1st player side because I don’t know why, but as long as I stand slanted I can play on those sticks alright. They’re not as good as the 2nd player side for sure but they work for some people. If anyone going to come, post up I’ll probably be there at 3, staying until around 6.
Even if you complain i doubt that they’ll fix it :mad: Maybe if we broke MvC2 like the 3s machine they might fix it :evil: lol but then the game would suck even more. neh ill think of something eventually
