Ok guys tournaments in Corpus Christi, TX are official! The Tilt corporate manager called me from St. Louis this evening to discuss this whole tournament idea with me. He said we can hold them as long as they are pay to play (people pay for their matches). These tournaments will only feature Marvel vs Capcom 2 because our arcade lacks in recent games or other games such as CvS2 or GGXX.
The first one will be on SATURDAY, May 10 and will BEGIN at roughly 3pm. This means you should show up around 2pm or 2:30 to sign up and pay entrance. That’s about the time I’ll show up to collect $ and setup bracks and what not. I’m not sure whether these will be held weekly or bi-weekly. I’m going to ask some people after the first and see what everyone else prefers.
Location: Tilt in Padre Staples Mall (2nd floor)
Entrance fees = $10. $5 of your entrance fee will go towards paying for your matches. If there is any left over from this money, it will go to first place’s prize.
Prizes: 1st - 70% of pot, 2nd - 20% of pot, and 3rd - 10% of pot.
So I hope to see you guys there, please spread the word as much as possible!!! I really want these to go well.

I am thinkin of goin to LL in a lil bit if anyone is interested.
I went by Le hole and the sticks there are really not that bad. All the buttons worked, they have stools and it is a quarter to play. I say some weekend we give lehole a try. They have GGXX and stiens is a minute away. Just a thought… GGXX is flashy as hell but I have no idea how to play the game. It looks cool though.
Damn it has been a long time since I posted, but I could go for that idea. I was there today and cabinet on the right seemed to work well, but the left was not so forthcoming. Plus it would save the long trip to LL. What does everyone think??
Post up next time you go and I will meet u up there. I work south(off of Ben White and Lamar) and drive by there on my way home(usually between 3 and 6). The right machine is better than the left but that seems to change often. They fix the machines but they just have gutterpunks and scrubz breakin them constantly.
That would be the best place to play if it didn’t stink so bad and the machines weren’t always fucked up.

I hope more players show up, we need to get ready for the regionals, I don’t want to go 1-2 again. I want lots of practice against Cable and Mag, I think I can handle Sent and Storm but those 2 really gives me problems. See you guys tomorrow at 2.
I may go today to LL but I will probably be late since I just woke up. So start without me and when I show if their is any room I’ll go into the losers or something. If not then I’ll just wait for casual play.

I am going to go to a CC tournament tomorrow so I won’t be there to hold a weekly, others from Austin are going as well so there might not be a whole lot of people tomorrow at LL.
