I think Brad’s right here. Like, every Houston tourney I’ve ever gone to, period, I’ve always fucked lots of shit up and played pretty badly, always been upset because I know I’m better than that and yadda yadda, and watched other people play just fine, and been frustrated. It’s a being used to it thing. The sticks actually legitamately fucked up once all day and that match got replayed. So there.

Ivan - next tourney is on the 23rd. Also I’m stupid and just realized that there are FIVE Sundays in June (I think). So there may also be one on the 29th. Who would come on the 23rd? And on the 29th?
Hsien is funny. I would go to tourney but Wednesday night conflicts with working early the next morning. A stretch for a game I don’t play at all, except when I am contributing to the “Hsien’s APEX Points For EVL” Fund.

As far as the controller goes, yah wires ain’t that bad a deal. I thought that my homemade controller was done because the trace to the point I had been soldering to got broken. I then soldered directly to the leg of the IC, but I kept getting solder on the other legs. Then the leg just came off the PCB. Today I didn’t have much to do, so I bent the leg so it sticks up and was able to solder the wire on the top of the IC. Weird, but it works. Are there games afoot Thursday? I might be able to come down, but I’ll probably have to work until 4:30, so I wouldn’t get there until 5:45 or so. I think I might head to Houston this weekend.
Eh Larry, you going to CvS tourney tomorrow? Do I have that right…its tomorrow at E’s at 8?
Err you’re rich, I’m not. I am willing to play $1 a game though, just to shut you up once and for all. Geez. 
Ivan: I don’t like that game, I am going to play some new characters and grooves but overall I just play the game because it’s there, not because it’s fun. They made Athena bad, booo!! :mad:

Hey this is JW. I am going to be in the Austin area for the weekend and at the MvC2 S.A. tourney on Sunday. If anything is going on tomorrow night or Saturday in Austin, let me know and maybe I’ll have a stick to bring down if people are playing at someone’s house (like Larry’s) or I can always play on a Dreamcast pad (I am not picky).
Yep, and all of you should go to the S.A. tourney on Sunday! (or at least I assume it was still happening)

Hmm i see larry needs help on his joystick. Well you can solder it back on. Depends where you want to solder for instance if you have a p-360 and you want to solder a wire to the joystick its fine but do not get it too hot. However, for the buttons, i would consider getting quick disconnects then when you have to replace the switches you can easily do it in couple minutes. Also try not to solder while it is plugged in, it may not do anything to the dc, but you might feel a little shock haha j/k. I dont think it would affect anything but why even risk it? Anyways those are my tips. You can get quick disconnects for the joystick too. I did that cause i was too lazy to solder them on. And these are females. You can get them at radio shack or home depot or your mama. As of mvc2, hardly play the game. I go to the cades at most once every two weeks except this week. I had this huge craving so i basically drove all around town to different malls hoping for better comp. At Irving mall they thought i was shadyk or something =) haha my skills are rusty but still fun going to tourneys. Ill probably be at the big houston tourney in july. Team MVC2 tourneys are needed!!
