I might go to the regionals as well depending on how much practice i can get in between now and then.

Texas Union Building, it’s on campus, right across the street from Einstein’s, across the street and to the left a bit facing out of einstein’s. Can’t be more than 1-2 minute walk. Once you get in the union building take the elevator or stairs down and it’s by itself, bowling alley, pool tables, and in the corner there’s an arcade, mostly crappy arcade games other than mvc2 but they’re on good cabinets, big screens etc. The last time I went before winter break the sticks and buttons were completely screwed up though. 2nd player used to be ok, the joystick was way better than anything you’d find in le fun but then it’s just demolished now, lk and assist2 don’t work, 1st player never was ok though. If fixed it’d be a nice cabinet to play on though…
They have the same hours as le fun pretty much, open until 3 am.

I can’t believe someone said the union arcade is a place to play mvc2. If you’re on campus, and want to play, just post on the forums, i’ll see if i have time. I have sticks. Haven’t used them for few months now

I didn’t say it was the place to play mvc2, it’s a terrible place to play at the moment but if they got their sticks fixed it’d be fine because the cabinet itself is way better than le fun’s.

Sorry I got friends in Sugarland and Bellaire, so I’ll probably be saying with one of them. If I go, I’ll be going Sunday anyways.

Has someone tried to get le fun or underground to fix their sticks before? just wondering if they’re stubborn like einstein in not wanting to get a mvc2 cabinet or is the reason they’re not fixed because no one has asked them ever.
People have asked. THe reason is because they don’t care.
le fun will always smell like ass, and underground is a lost cause
There may be hope after all… le fun has a temporarily out of service tag covering 2nd player side of one of the machines… maybe this means they’ll fix the shit, although it really wouldn’t help much if they just fix that side and leave everything else broke… still there might be a working mvc2 arcade in austin in the near future…
