I’m gonna try to be at E’s around 5 tomorrow. Are the Marvel sticks still screwed up or anything, I haven’t been there since the summer.
hey guys whats up. So long story short, I finally sold my PS2 copy of MVC2. While I’m glad to get an arcade perfect version of MVC2, I am in desperate need of a DC to PS/2 converter for my cheap ass joystick. If anyone has an old converte they would like to sell, PM me.

Michael: DC to PS2 converters aren’t that common since DC was way less popular than PS2 or Xbox. Have you tried online or import stores?
yeah i can find em online, but they can be quite pricy, and well imma cheap bastard. I won’t be able to play mvc2 publicly for a while, my family-in-law is livin with us and annoying the crap outta me, and ive just had to shell out alot of money for end of the month bills, so no E’s for a while.

I think as long they fix the power problem, then the sticks won’t burn out. Also I am gonna see if they will put jap buttons in instead of American ones. It doesn’t matter too much to me but I know alot of people would prefer them.

I have 2 questions

Is marvel dead there? I know there is a machine in E’s… is E’s hard to get to normaly? I was there in SXSW and interstate was dead crawl and silly traffic.

How is the crime? I heard it was lower than my cities but it sure didn’t look like it in SXSW.
marvel isnt necessarily dead, we just never get together on a regular basis cause of school. girls. jobs, or whatnot. E’s is pretty easy to get to if you know your way around town and where to park etc. Only during certain times of the day is traffic horrific. as far as crime goes, I’ve no idea, I don’t live in austin myself. I live a little further north.
Naw traffic isn’t too bad it’s just I35 is a bitch, but if you know your way around then you can avoid taking it and you won’t run into as much traffic. Naw Austin marvel is not dead, there are still a few dedicated players around but like Paul said it’s sometimes hard to get everyone together at one time.
But I think once the marvel machine is fixed and the sticks stay good for longer than 20 mins it will pick up again. As far as crime depending on where you coming from, and I cant remember and don’t feel like going back to look it’s not nearly that bad. Yes some parts are a lil worse than others but compared to Dallas and Htown it’s really nothing.
hey i don’t personally play marvel but i play 3rd strike, kof11 and tekken 5 dr i was thinking of coming down there this weekend for some comp. Didn’t see a thread for anything else austin related so how is the turnout for saturday’s at e’s.
Well there are usually alot of 3S players, not that many for kof11 or tekken but 3S definetly.
