[Aug 11, 2012] Trial of Nightmare! <P4U/TTT2U> (Rochester, New York 14623)

 “The fiend passes judgment on enemies that are locked away…”

Welcome to Rochester’s newest tournament series: Trial of Nightmare.

Trial of Nightmare works to illuminate Rochester’s competitive fighting scene by offering a rotating menu of 2D and 3D fighters, with each event featuring one game from each family.

Friday, August 3rd – The first Trial of Nightmare will feature a very special guest along with our first two games: The King of Fighters XIII and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. Please arrive promptly to receive all applicable beatdowns. Come out and come hungry.

Venue Information
69 West Squire Drive
Rochester, New York 14623

The Rustic Village Entertainment Center. I will be laying down some very serious, but very obvious ground rules regarding this venue, so please come with your head attached to your shoulders. Any and all ruffians and/or pelicans will be hastily removed from the event.

Sign-ups begin: 7:00 p.m.
Brackets begin: 8:00 p.m.
Event ends in full: 12:00 a.m.

The event is on a Friday evening and begins promptly at 8:00 p.m. with the entire thing being over with everyone cleared out at midnight. Your consideration for our schedule is greatly appreciated.

Venue fee: $0
KoFXIII entry fee: $5
VF5:FS entry fee: $5

The entry fees are starting modestly to give players a chance to come out and experience these great fighting games. To aid in this effort, we are abolishing the venue fee with the hopes of getting kids up and out of their basements and back into the community to play some games and catch up with friends.

Our efforts cannot be complete without help from the community. Please being any setups we can use for play: this includes monitors, systems and sticks. If you can help by bringing a system, please be sure to bring one wired controller to use for interfacing with the system. No matter what you bring, please mark your belongings in order to prevent confusion and/or theft.

Thank you for your time and please look forward to this great event. There are many things in the works for Rochester’s fighting scene, but none of those things can be successful without the backing of the players. Please come out and support your scene!

I can bring my xbox but I don’t have EX Iori MR.Karate or EX Kyo because it’s a NEW xbox.

 Rules are updated. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for your support, Josh. If anybody comes with a system, please do remember to let us know if you have DLC characters available for KoFXIII. Thanks!

I’ll bring my PS3, I have all the DLC.

Ill be there with nothing but my controlers and a burning desire to win.

… NM, I cannot make it. Its too far of a drive to make it in time after work…

 That is unfortunate, sir, but we will have more! These are not intended to be Friday events, so please look forward to the next one!

Definitly. I just started playing VF5 when FS came out, but used to play casually all the time (had almost ever version).

Anyone know if the “Pool Hall Brawl” over in Syracuse is still going on for Saturaday 8/4 ?

There is an event posting, but its from February so I’m not sure if its still valid. Thanks.

I’ll try to make this next week something came up.

Is this going to become a weekly? if it is you should post it under next Friday on events so people know

Do you guys still get together in rochester ny
