Attn: Londoners!

  1. Who remembers Namco Wonderpark, which was the busiest arcade in London, but closed in the 90s?

  2. When did you first start going Wonderpark? Any ideas when it first opened?

  3. Does anyone have any photos of Wonderpark?

  4. What’s the newest game in other London arcades? Anywhere got SS: Tenka or Soul Calibur 3?

They have KOFXI in trocadero and a few places have T5DR. I can’t help you with wonderpark but if you want info on the london scene you should get over to www.neoempire.com

Or you could ask peeps in person http://www.neoempire.com/events.htm

didn’t that dude off gamesmaster have something to do with namco wonderpark?

I went to wonderpark once during the kof 98 tourney good place lots of varity of games shame it had to close.

I can only really answer your last question, as far as i know nowhere has tenka or sc3, casino does have vf final tuned and Tekken5 DR and troc has battle colisium and x1
Play2win might have sc3 they normally get the sc games pretty fast but i have not been for ages because IT’S SHIT!

As for new games, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection is in a lot of arcades in London.
But the only place worth playing it is at Casino arcade, near Goodge St tube station.
It’s 1 for 2 goes there, and you can also plug in your ps2 pad to play (just like the American arcades). There are challenges most evenings, especially Fridays.

All the other arcades (including trocadero) cost 1 per go, and have crap sticks :frowning:

Anyway yeah, go to neoempire.com for more details, and directions to Casino.

^ There is an arcade with reasonable sticks for 50p. Angel Islington.
