I was playing super smart and was able to kind of see some things in slow motion and I also made some very good guesses (which is rare for me) and picked up some great free damage. Overall I am very pleased with my play tonight. Here’s hoping I can tack up some more poi–

So many clone teams, its ridiculous. Then there’s the people who spam hop kicks type moves in hit stun. Wish I could play these guys in VF. Its strange in VF or Persona I don’t lose to these type of players at all. In Tekken, its a different story. Think I need a different mind set in TTT2. Find myself losing to these gimmicks way too often.
Wish there was in game frame data. That would have been great.

I respect people way too much, which is my problem; I get stuck blocking and then get blown up by only the most ridiculous shit, LOL.
Maybe Tekken is harder for me. VF came so naturally to me(Though I played VF/Guilty Gear locally). Its sad that when I lose, I don’t care for a rematch. VF/Persona if I lose, I want a salty runback.
Actually tried that hop kick tactic and won against a dude higher than me in rank. I felt like a scrub.

Hopkicks are scrub tier, but they’re there to get respect, so…don’t take it too hard on yourself.

Wasn’t even losing consecutive matches and was winning several in a row, actually. I’d be very interested to see what variation of the dan system this game uses to calculate ranks.
Getting tons of matchup experience against stance characters lately. Somehow forgot how to fight Forest, but since not so many people were on tonight, I got to run it back against a few people that gimmicked me out and smashed some faces in. No other game makes me wish for runbacks or “that one more chance” when you’re just on the verge of learning how to beat someone or something.
Been winning more consistently lately. Pretty much playing with a no respect attitude. Surprisingly winning against people with a higher rank than me past few days. Though I’ve been stuck at brawler for so long. No demote or promote. Even after my win streaks.
:eek: I suspect something is going on with the rankings; something just doesn’t seem right.
Glad to hear you’re doing well, though! The no respect attitude is essential in one-off games like ranked online. Pretty much have only that best of five to execute a gameplan. Give people too much freedom to press buttons and they will get away with SO MUCH shit, haha.
Hop kicks are legit for punishing and crushes. What’s wrong with that?

Hmm…seems like my passion for the game is going down recently. Just not having fun playing it like Gundam extreme, Persona etc. Also the clone teams or common teams every single game doesn’t help.
