When is AH2 coming out?
I have a PS3 so I cant do the import PS2 thing, and I dont wanna buy AH if AH2 comes out in Japan shortly, because that means that PS2 people with swap magic/lids will have the new game and I will have the old one.
2D games are best suited for digital distribution nowadays.
AH2 isn’t even out in arcades yet in japan and if its anything like part one the earliest you can hope for AH2 to come out on console is December.
I don’t know about successful button mashing, but I think Arcana is a great game for teaching button masher some basics of fighting games. I’m currently showing my gf and her little sister how to play.
If you stick to normals the game only has three buttons and if you strip the combos down to the bare bones they are SUPER EASY to teach.

After she got that down I started adding pieces one by one, adding a double jump, changing the ender to 2C instead of 5C, adding the dash punch after the 2abc. It good because you can see results fast and it helps girls get into the game if they have a sense of whats going on.
I just use the numbers on a clock to teach hadoukens(from 6 to 3), QCB (6 to 9), etc,
Teaching dragon punches and supers to girls is the only real challenge because there is some speed required with the execution, but it can be done.

And damn I can’t wait. I’ve been wanting to play this game since before its release but I don’t have enough money to set up import/illegal modification stuff. The fact that it’s coming out a few weeks after my birthday means that I can actually buy it…yay.
Yea, Arcana Heart is def worth the buy. It’s still plenty of time to get into it because not many people in the US will have Arcana Heart 2 in their arcades so more people will be playing Arcana Heart 1. And this version should be free of all of those bugs from the JP version we’ve been playing. Arcana is a fun game and you’ll enjoy it. There’s tons of vids all on youtube and the Arcana Heart 1 forum in fighting game discussion just in case you need any.
