The goal as well, for us, is not to make money in any form - really, so the first set of events to, make it more hype, we will post our full costs beforehand so we know exactly what we are expecting or looking forward to in attendance.
Once we hit those attendance numbers I will take all the entries beyond that and spread it across pots to increase winner payouts. and this info will be posted on a giant projector so you know how many folks are in a title and the pot size as well as any additional the house is adding due to gained attendance.

Say I get the ballroom I want for $1000
We charge $10 to enter the venue and $10 per tourney.
That means we need 100 players to come to the event to break even.
if we get 150 players to come and compete that means theres $500 extra money that we will take and spread throughout the pots.
I will do this for the first and second tourney and after that we will take whatever is gained and start using it for bonus pot announcements. Alex and I are in full agreement on doing it this way to give this community a jump start. I get to promote for GAMME and Alex gets to be with his favorite community, no homo. you guys get more competition and more players coming to represent other parts of Florida.

also how would you guys like the extra distributed? all to SFIV? half and half to SFIV and Tekken? or just split it into pieces across all the games?
its up to you guys, I’ll cover the venue and equipment, Alex and my team will run the tourneys you guys tell us what you want.
Brett we have plans to start running Rhythm Gaming promos out of the new house we got in Orlando - its kind of huge so its really for that purpose. I will do lan nights for shooters and rhythm nights for our cabs to get some love - DDR: Extreme, Pop’n 15-16 Adventure & Party, IIDX is in the works - DJ Dao will have to suffice and Para Para V1.1
But those are in the works as a separate event in the area that we are working on as what we are calling “Bemani & BBQ Sunday’s @ GPX House” but that will be posted only here on this board not the tourney board.
No TvC:UAS? But why not? it is new and will draw a big crowd if it is hyped like SF$ is. I would just love to see more tourneys in FL support that game as I am looking for good comp in that game.

As much as I’d like to support TvC. I don’t see people going out and buying wii’s and Fighting sticks just for that one game on the Wii. Really wish they brought that game to Ps3 and 360’s.
Either way Manny and Myself look forward to having our own events every couple months for everyone.
Yeah, a lot of the extra setups will be to see what titles you guys will support for me and Jebailey to work on running side tourneys with our team. There will always be someone that wants a separate tourney on their favorite game, with enough setups we can run our principle tourneys and still have a solid amount of casual play on the other titles. with some time and work we will be able to add other tourneys and switch out intermittently between them.

I have it all already. Just need someone witht the balls to host it up. Not as a side tourney but as a TOURNEY! 3 full setups. 4 PS2->Gamecube converter. And I my self have 5 sticks I can lend out as well. Not just crappy sticks but rather,2 wii horis, 1 KOF12 PS2 stcik, 1 TvC CGoH import stick, 2 madcatz TvC Sticks. No lie. I mean I will use one or two of them during tourney but hey, if you have marvel, Melty Blood: AA, Guilty Gear XX:AC+, and Garou: Mark of the Wolves there then there will be PS2 sticks already there. I have the converters (2 joybox <–SRK appproved and two gameshark ones) I just want to make a move in the correct direction. Helping support the game is that move. Saying the same thing that was said a year ago, will only get us back to the same point.
They did all this work, no we need to do some right?
Keep in mind the goal here is also to create a consistently attended club scenario - so the amount of setups will be solid enough for lots of casuals while tournaments are running.
We are Running TvC:UAS @ GAMME as a Main tourney and we are making an announcment this weekend at the TvC Release party that will have more of an impact ^^

As for games other than the ones listed as main, I would play HDR. I’m also interested in TvC but since there is still a little time before it is out I can’t say too much yet.
Manny, I really think you should change the name of it to TTG Top Tier Gaming. TTG just sounds better lol. I always wanted to open up a game store called TTG but that was another life. Oh and could you at least Spell my Last name Right in the very first sentence of the thread lol. Shows how much you take this partnership seriously.
The great thing about popn and Music games is it gets a lot of girls involved as well.

Soon as I have the dates organized I’ll update the OP. Hotel has some events on the 20th, and we have 2 events that weekend as well, so March is looking better.
The BBQ sundays will be starting March probably - I am moving in the staff and setting the place up for promotions, but we have to be here lol. That and we get our cabinets by Katsucon, so we will be shipping those things down after.
