Special Double Assaults (SDAs) can be performed with two specific characters. There are certain criterias you have to meet.

  • You have “go signal” to use D-Assault
  • Both characters are still fighting
  • You have to perform prerequisite move/s that must at least be blocked (better hit) and/or meet certain conditions before you can execute it
  • The command for SDA should be entered just about FIVE SECONDS on the counter (yup) after you recover from performing the prerequisite move/s and/or meeting certain conditions.

Ai with Yuki (On Background) [ASO2 Last Guardian]

  • perform Joy Joy Balloon (ABC on ground/mid-air) then Lightning Ball (ABC)
  • THIS DOESN’T NEED TO HIT
  • cancel immediately the Joy Joy Balloon by pressing D ONCE (twice will make you attack and you cannot perform follow-up after that)
  • perform qcb,qcb + CE
  • Ai will materialize a small laser gun. I THINK THE ATTACK IS UNBLOCKABLE (always hits) but you have to be a bit close to opponent.
  • After shot from small laser gun hits, a big pace ship will appear behind her then fire electric blasts to opponent (Shaider Laser Blast!!!)
  • VERY DAMAGING but quite risky even if the Lightning Ball hits. Better done in the corner once you’ve juggled opponent with Last Resort (hcb,hcb + A/C) and finished with Lightning Ball (enter ABC,ABC on the 3rd/4th hit of Last Resort that juggles)

Iori with Kyo (Background) [Saishuu Kessen Okugi]

  • perform Ya Sakazuki (qcb,hcf + A/C)
  • THIS NEEDS TO HIT
  • once opponent is stunned, perform qcf,qcf + CE
  • Iori will do the opening attack for his KOF2003 LDM. This may miss if opponent is hit while on mid-air
  • remember Orochi 97 ending? that’s how it looks like. cute and DAMAGING!
  • SO EASY TO PULL OFF especially because Super Cancels are FREE!!!

Kyo with Iori (Background) [Saishuu Kessen Okugi]

  • perform his new Dokugami chain:
    qcf + C, qcf+C, qcf+A, qcf+B/D (prefer B ), hcb+C (this one is a FAR juggle so better perform combo at the corner, probably after doing his same UBER-POWERED new combo that you can end with dp + A THRICE!!!)
  • The qcf + K and the juggle must at least hit
  • perform qcb,hcf + AE
  • Kyo will do the jumping Hikigane (hcb + B ) so as mentioned, better be at the corner
  • SO HARD (for me but maybe not for you) but the DAMAGE? let’s say 70 - 80% if you also performed his other combo prior to do doing this smile.gif
  • and here it is:
    (corner) qcf + C, qcf+C, qcf+A, qcf+B/D (prefer D this time), hcb+C, (dp + A) X 3

Rock with Terry (Background) [Buster and Storm]

  • perform Rage Run (qcb + D)
  • make sure he successfully teleports behind opponent
  • now immediately cancel recovery by performing rdp + CE
  • Rock will do a multi-hit Rising Tackle
  • Here’s the catch: This one is a bit easy to connect (especially if you can do the Athena qcf + B/D to hcb,hcb + A/C cross-up cancel) BUT it doesn’t always give the complete damage. The timing for the cancellation must be accurate because you have to make sure the Rising Tackle gets all 3-hits ON THE GROUND. If your opponet recovers soon enough and only gets one/two hits or gets hit on mid-air, rest of the move will be wasted sad.gif
  • HARD RIGHT? BUT THE DAMAGE? VERY NICE!

Mr. Karate with Robert Garcia [Futa Seiryuu Tora Ranbu]

  • perform Tenchi Haoh Ken (qcf,qcf + B/D) (And better do this by Super Cancelling. It’s free so enjoy it!)
  • I’m not sure but I think this move must hit (it always hits in my case hehehe)
  • perform qcf,b,f + AE
  • Mr. Karate does the 1st hit of his new Buryoko Ranbu super (ala Athena itoh!) but sans autoguard
  • This is SO FLASHY, especially with Mr. Karate and Robert’s insignia (the Tiger and the Dragon) flashing on the background once they fire Haoh Sho Koh Ken (Mr. Karate in front, Robert behind opponent)
  • Easy SDA but sans the autoguard on the first hit of SDA so be careful

Robert Garcia with Mr. Karate with [Futa Seiryuu Tora Ranbu]

  • perform Hien Senpuu Kyaku plus Finisher (qcb + B/D X 4 plus qcf + B/D). I think the finisher is a juggle in the corner but don’t rely on this.
  • THIS NEEDS TO HIT
  • perform qcf,b,f + CE
  • Robert performs his b + A move (back first)
  • Same as above but this one Robert is in front. Also, the one who triggered the command also does his f,b,f + P (for Mr. Karate) or K (for Robert) before they fire the Haoh Sho Koh Ken.
  • The prerequisite move sucks because it’s hard to complete but if the Finisher is indeed a juggle (in the corner) like what I think, it’s worth doing it.

Hanzo with Fumma [Kyouryou Okugi Kyougeki Kujikirijin]

  • perform Ninpoh Kohrin Kazan (qcb+ C/D version only)
  • THIS DOESN’T NEED TO HIT
  • perform f,d,df + AE
  • Hanzo does a close-range knife slash. Once it connects, Hanzo fires multiple shurikens forward (like his qcf,qcf + B/D Super) while Fuuma throws flaming shurikens from the air (ala Ibuki)
  • SDA itself is hard to connect since Hanzo should be quite close

Fuuma with Hanzo [Kyouryou Okugi Kyougeki Kujikirijin]

  • perform Satsu Chouken (hcb+ A/C) near opponent or else the blast-type attack will appears instead
  • THIS NEEDS TO HIT (Of course, it’s near opponent!)
  • perform qcf,df + CE
  • Fuuma slides shortly foward with a knife slash. Same as above but it’s Fuuma who’s infront this time
  • Quite easy to connect since the Satsu Chouken throw version is comboable and it drags opponent to corner

In all honesty, I played Clay Fighter 63 1/3 HELLUH for like…the longest time, knew all the really good combos, knew how to play with the camera to pull infinites off all sortsa’ good shit.

Ickybod, Taffy, Dr. Killin and Blob were too good in that game. Icybod and Blob were probably S-Class though.

its cool that youre thining this way, i wish the mbac community was like you. a few of their main players are up in arms and agngy at me that arcana is getting all the attention instead of their game (mbac…) instead of going through the channels like i did (and like youre doing) and try to hype the game up on srk to no end. ppl are actually resentful and bitter at me for that, when they dont understand that they arent hyping up their own game on this site…this place is obviously the 10 ton gorilla when it comes to fighting games, so it doesnt make sense to me why they dont wanna hype shit up here, they really dont get it. You can learn about hitboxes and stuff from playing 98 online currently. Can’t get the info for everybody, but a lot of chars in 98 have great pokes, so knowledge of what normal beats what is huge. That’s the reason Ralf is upper-mid right there, though some characters can out-poke Ralf.

dont forget about debug mode. with that enabled you can see the all the properties and hitboxes of any move in the game.

You might want to check out the Final Round thread, Shinblanka said that I can’t host my games in the main room (only the hotel room.) I don’t know if this will affect you, but you might want to make sure.
