BTW when you will be back in NC? Unsure when your time in the sandbox is up. I know that UM tournies are going to be planned in Greensboro quickly- just due to the hype. If you haven’t gotten rusty over there- you might be able to mop up.

When I get back, it’s the home stretch. Trying to ready up to get an early out, by way of an Art Institute admission.
It kinda sucks that I was briefly in the NC scene for like 2 tournaments then deployed. The most used and closest arcade got closed down when I was deployed. Came back, worked a graveyard weekend shift(best job and shift i’ve had since being in the military. And i’d do and hope to do that shift again these last 4 or so months I got left. Cause it avoids all BS.). And then deployed again like right away, after that.
I am waaay too rusty in kof though, It’s been like that since 05. i stopped taking kof seriously way back cause NO ONE was playing it. This DG movement and this upcoming 98 UM has restored my interest a lil bit. I hope guys play 2002 too. I could probably still scare people in it.

With UM coming out November 29th will it and should it fit into the Nec8 schedule? That’s cutting it VERY VERY CLOSE.
Hyperhal- Well, tournament results govern tiers so thats how the list needs to be adjusted. After all its the same way with NGBC, we been playing the game hardocre for a while so just because the tiers were a certain way a long time ago we have played it enough to see they need to be changed (hahaha Tung and Athena in E CLASS?? hahahahha!!)
Slash’s EX Super Shockwave is hella cheap…and Rai is a cheap MOFO also…very effective and powerful…they need to be in the tier list…Mauru I am unsure where he fits. A Class possibly until we see more stuff.
Those early outs are a LOT easier to get in the AF then the ARmy. Thankfully I didn’t need one- I had 62 days of leave saved up, and used an obscure AF regs involving holidays to grab 3 more (could have grabbed 4 but didn’t want to risk getting shafted and having to do another PT test cause of it)
2k2 is dead in NC- no one likes it and UM will kill it off for good I think.

These are based off the Japanese tier lists at the beginning with little intervention…however now is time to revisit them due to how long we been playing this game also where do you think Yunfei fits in? I think a Master Yunfei while not S Class is at least A!!! So I am changing it to reflect otherwise in my revised Tier List.
Also based off what I saw **I am putting Mina in SS Class. **I dont think ANYONE that saw Tokido’s Mina in person disagrees with me LOL.

Why Enja moves up? An Enja Master though rare to find is SURELY A CLASS…I compare Enja to a much, much, harder version of Tung Fu Rue in NGBC…remember when everyone including the Triad was saying Tung has nothing? Even Athena? Yeah…mark my words Joey knows what Enja can do in this game…and if you doubt it play the CPU and see what a Master Enja can do…one combo equals HALF LIFE…
Also FYCN you know Genan is COUNTER Yunfei right?
Also if only Genan could do ST Vega ambiguous crossups, it would be GREAT!!!
Sweet jesus Gen An is in it? My next buy definately, I’d like to get good with him and Jubei. What makes Jubei so bad in this one? In 1 and 2 I thought he was a beast.
kidd cant beat rasputin. ras has better normals, better dash, and better projectiles. if ras closes in, kidd needs a lucky parry to even TRY to retaliate vs chops.
but again, i dont know the game, im theorizing off what ive seen.

yeah Gen-An is seriously one of those Character specific match up kind of guys… does great against some characters, does shit against others… there really doesn’t seem to be much a middle ground with him… thats why i’d put him about C class…
if he had ST claws cross up id stick to him and use no one else…
**Keits- **You may be right again…however I think I may have the character for Rasputin…JOHNNY MAXIMUM! With that damage PLUS A FIREBALL and a good AA hes the man! I forget to add him hes S Class for sure…I rearranged the WHP tiers a tad bit and arranged the SST one shifting Gen An to C Class.
Are You Okay- SST has every character ever to appear in a 2d Samurai Showdown game. Jubei doesnt have much to offer in this game other than his new GuardCrush Special. He cant even combo into Super and he really doesnt have much to offer. As much as I like him too being Geese Howard with a Sword (See counters, gi, reppuken, double reppuken, RAISING STORM LIKE SUPER) he’s a casual player at best. Who does Jubei counter? Maybe a Haohmaru but Haohs have nothing really do be feared in this game.
Shiki- Jack’s still up there.but wait till you see what Rasputing can do with his “Mighty hand” then even as good as Jack is and solid overall…it makes it hard for Jack to get in on!!!
That really sucks Geese, suppose I’ll have to relegate him to casuals. I reconize only like…ten of the names on the Tier list lol, it’s been a while since I’ve played SamSho obviously.

More about Jubei is that a lot of his stuff is risky…once again the best thing he has in his wakeup Guardcrush mixup which is new…thats really the best he has.
He has some kara Dragon Dash mixups and pokes but that’s like it…I’ll play him in casuals a few times and show you what he can do etc.
Watch the finals Geese. FunkDOC played Maximum vs me, and got eaten alive. It was WAY worse than Muscle vs Ras, so he took it, nodded at me, and switched back.
You need range on normals or a fast/double jump to even HOPE to get in on rasputin, and even then he has like 6 normals that are GREAT for antiair. :looney:
Geese: SST is missing the pocket samsho game characters though, so you have to say it 'features every character from samsho 1-5. I want paintbrush guy, asura, and shiki!
