I’ve looked at the SBO NGBC videos, and some other recent ones. I don’t see how the US are better. Which US players, which Japanese players? Definitely the average US player is not better than the average japanese player, and I’m pretty sure the best US player isn’t better than the best Japanese either (but I don’t know who is the best in both groups).
I fail to see how NGBC is a ‘cut and paste job’. SO many of its characters are redrawn completely or drawn from scratch. Totally absurd to call it a cut and paste.
Capcom Fighting Jam was a cut and paste job. They resized 3s sprites and took out a lot of frames, rather than redraw anything.

Me and Joey felt CERTAIN that Mago is about as good as it gets in NGBC ‘probably’ in Japan. He’s VERY VERY GOOD and I got a good feel of Japanese style compared to what I saw in Match Vids.

I haven’t seen any NGBC cabs out here in tokyo, but I’ve seen a bunch of random arcades with random ass SNK goodness. KOFMI2 is surprisingly getting pushed pretty hard and is in a lot of locations, and it’s getting a fair amount of play (wel find out when Arcadia magazine comes out next month.) I’ve probably seen the cab in maybe like 1 out of 4 arcades in Tokyo, so that’s pretty good I guess… And also, I’e found comp in the most random SNK games here…they just had a FHD ranbat at mikado not too long ago…there are STILL FFS cabs scattered around the sity with underground comp…Breakers…Garou, Tenka, you name it…of course its not at EVERY arcade, u need to search, but its worth the find for sure…haha you need to learn Jap stick and get your ass out here Lukas :looney:

Well, to my experience I only fought the Koreans, Singaporeans and Chinese. No experience with a Japanese/US/Mexicans in KOF though.

China plays KOF mostly since I guess they dont care about SF.

Dont know about that, since all they mostly play is KOF, and theres not a whole lot of U.S. kof players. Still I dont think we’ll ever beat Korea in starcraft, thats like not going to happen.
They play as much 3rd Strike as they do KOF.
