Yeah keep Gato as Leader I’d recommend the same as well. I did see some Leader Kyos in Mexico also though.

BTW, opinion question for you- about how long should people wait before starting UM tournies? Game supposedly comes out in Japan 11/29. Thinking wait until after holidays due to xmas, exams for college kids. A 12/6 tourney would be nice though- econ can wait in that case.
Okay then I gotta know something, which is the better game…Samurai Shodown V Special or Tenka. On that note why is one game better then the other.
I think we need to wait on UM tourney’s until we can see whats good and whats not, I’m not liking the idea of most of the UM changes like the additional supers, changes to move properties and what not. The extra characters are nice, as long as they aren’t broke, I was thinking like classic 98 with extra characters, hopefully all the useful glitches are still in the 98 normal version (unblockable fireballs, wakeup super crossups, and the like, glitched stomps)

That’s highly debatable; although V Special is widely considered to be more balanced and less busted in some aspects, it doesn’t get much play outside of Kailerra. Tenka is a great game but it has it’s problems, and SS purists dislike the way the engine feels, among other things.
They are taking the glitches out. The way I’d want to do it is classic characters with new characters allowed- URAs banned (unless they’re not overpowered compared to regular chars)
If you want glitches, arcade 98 is in the game, but 98 has enough depth not to need gimmicky stuff like glitches.

By Neo Geo, I’m assuming you mean NGBC. The main reason the game isn;t well liked, here in the states at least, but the SNK community, is cause many of them believe if an SNK game isn’t on the Neo Geo, its not worth messing with.
His LDM is fucking broken. Does absurd damage, guard crushes on block, easy to setup, etc. If you’re going to run Gato at all in your team, he should be the leader.

its a 3 hit combo, dp+Ex3. 2nd hit guard breaks and the 3rd hit is where it hurts.
Just the palm super? JUST THE PALM SUPER? That thing is gauranteed damage! It’s effing ridiculous! It’s very easy to set up, and as soon as it’s there,BOOM!, gaurd crush and heavy damage! I mean, Kula’s good, but she doesn’t ass-rape the cast the way Gato does!

I think I’ve officially been swayed. That is BROKE-ASS! I meant the dpx3 when I said palm super, I was referring to the palm thrust part, but I guess I should’ve been more specific. I mean I do play Garou after all.:rolleyes: No more Vanessa cancel combos though.:sad:
EDIT- I’ll admit that I hated on NGBC, make that Playmore in general until 2002/2003 came out. I just thought that games didn’t feel the same and that Playmore was fuckin’ up in the beginning. They seem to be getting back on the right track though.
