Juarez EDIT- NeoPenny just bought my Juarez, Mexico ticket and I will be leaving out from DFW to El Paso Thursday the 18th at 9:30 AM, and I will arrive at ‘ELP’ at 10:05 AM. I am returning back to Dallas Tuesday so I can get ready for EVO West.
EVO West Update- About to buy my EVO West ticket now also…and also my EVO World Vegas one lol…and possibly the South Carolina one also lol.
Just bought my EVO West ticket…I will be in San Diego, CA at 11:33 AM Thursday morning…I didnt have much of an option really because if I flew in Friday I’d get there around 10:00 PM at night…so I gotta fly in Thursday.
Could anyone help me out with some housing Thursday at all in the San Diego area/pick me up from the airport? Believe me I’d greatly appreciate it.

Yo. GS Geese. - Thanks for deciding to come out. The dedication is too strong. The guy who is having the cookout Saturday who’s place that we’re staying at should be at our tourney this weekend. I’ll talk to him but I’m guessing everything should be fine. Is Joey coming too? We’re all planning on being there, and we should be. We’ve got a few new students too… 
I’ll try to post up some Maxima/Duck stuff tonight. I was going to last night but passed out. Duck’s st. and cr. A’s though definately seem faster than a 1 frame difference though. The difference doesn’t allow for any different combos, but rather better pressure.
I HAVE FIGURED OUT THE SECRET TO YOUTUBE!
Early this year, they limited videos to 10 minutes because people were abusing the Director account to upload Family Guy episodes etc.
HOWEVER, those who registered for Director accounts prior to this rule can STILL upload longer videos, as long as they remain under 100 mb!
So, search for some of these people and see if they’d be willing to upload your vids. =)

Geese - the original plan was for me to kick it with an ex gf from Wednesday till roughly Friday early afternoon then take an Amtrak to San Diego, but in the past 12 hours tose planswere unmade…so im basically flying into LAX for no reason. I MAY make alternate flight plans but if not, i dont mind just pickin you up from San Diego Airport and we can just do whatever…i COULD ask my Godmother to let us sleep over for a night but meh…we may as well get a hotel…either way, im picking you up, i’ll handle myself in LA Wednesday night, i might be able to stay and kick it with a friend

Been playing Kizuna Encounter recently and want to ask for some strats. Mainly some Kim Sue Il and Rosa stuff. Still new to this game.
Just woke up from nap I crashed I was tired. However Weecho, I got some Rosa stuff on the first page/secong page of the older thread archived…and I will continue to post up stuff when I finish unpacking grocery.
I did buy a VCR/DVD player though…they dont sell VCRs solo at Wal-Mart anymore lol. Just the combo so now I’m bringing m own VCR to use and hopefully if we have two thats more to record. I wont bring it to San Diego since Nate is the recorder guy.
Update- Okay here is some Rosa stuff- (archived)
-Her super blocked is safe, all supers are done hcbqcf+A motion.
-She has an aerial dive move down+A/C? in the air, use it sporadically its good.
-Use her Rdp+A move to retreat its also pretty good.
-After a combo that ends in qcf+C, use her df+b/d? slide to OTG after it.
-Her bnb Dark Geese Speciality combo you’ll see when the EVO North casuals go up that does almost a full bar of health that JeRon saw lol. This is: cr,b, cr,b f+b, f+a, St.C, Down+Cxxhcb+D, hcb+D(connect the grab) Yes it all combos and if you throw them into the corner you can slide otg after it. Two of these comboes and the opponent is practically dead on TWO BARS OF HEALTH. They’ve gotta tag out so look for it. Combine this with the modified combo I have on the older thread of a Overhead and yes she becomes very dangerous.
-For what I know you cannot combo into super. :sad:
-Always end combos with the command grab and use her cr.C and far. st.C as pokes.
-Yes DP+C is a good Anti Air.

Maxima:
-Df+C is GREAT - mad priority for anti air, and can even stuff attacks in front of him.
-crossup jumping C is beastly, after hitting it…easily comboable into close D xx f+a xx qcf+C x 2 xx whatever (if you cancel into quickshift this is good for guard breaking).
-his qcb+P has great range, but watch the recovery. Really good to fight Gato with. If it CH’s I like to follow up with dp+D for half life.
-his sliding move that grabs is useful because it can cancel from cr.B and cr.A which provides a really nice tick setup.
-if you’re trying to get out of pressure…st.B is good vs low jumps, as is st.A which is a bit faster. Or, his far st.C has auto guard at the beginning, as does his cr.C, which can cancel into qcf+P.
-if they tick you with a hop early, you can rip his grab special.
-jumping BO has good priority too, and great range.
-against Ralph, Maxima’s sweep will save your life…kind of slow, but GREAT range.
Pretty much my main game with him is to pressure with his crossup. Have almost FULL FAITH in the priority of this move. You can mix up the situation after knowdown or low jump C pressure…by either normal jumping straight up or low jump C straight up (will hit someone who tries to roll forward), or sjC forward if they like to roll backwards. If they sit there and get hit by a few low jump Cs, just go for the string to combo/guardbreak. You can pressure someone into wasting a lot of meter this way to try and get you off. I rarely use his supers, unless it’s a situation to kill a character, because outside of a super cancel, his supers really aren’t good at all, and you could just keep that dot to quickshift out.
If maxima hits with counter hit vapor cannon, you can get more damage if you do the df+C xx dp+d, and it’s not that tough once you get used to it. it is a little distance specific but that distance is usually the distance you should be vapor cannoning at anyway.
I think you can run up with that and combo from any distance…CH vapour cannon, run up df+C, dp+D. Hmm, I wonder if kofxi has the glitch from kof2k2…In kof2k2, you can do something like, in corner, counterhit df+C, then df+C as late as possible, then df+C as early as possible, then dp+D.
I don’t think his crossup is that good…it’s not really ambigious or anything, and he has to do it relatively late in his jumpin, to combo after it, which means you can just hit him out of that (assuming he didn’t do it on wakeup)
hmmm don’t know if thats possible emil (as in the 2k2 glitch) I will try it though when my ps2 works again.
yeah i remember my retarded ass trying to play XI in FRX, i didnt hardly have any tricks back then, all i would do is sit there everytime and block maximas body splash, i just looked at it and went… nuhuh aint even gonne try to anti air that thing… i still got bitched tho. bummer…

DG, my chances for making it to Evo just shot down a lot. If everything continues to go the way it is, I’ll only have about $80-100 total for Evo, which will be nowhere near enough to go there, room ,and enter. I’ll keep you filled in with what’s going on.
