Asus VW246H and PS3

I’ve got the 1-inch bigger evo model monitor but it seems to have some problems with PS3 games, including SSF4:AE. (No problem on Xbox 360.) When starting a game, I have to turn the monitor on and off to get it to recognize the game’s input. Been doing this for a while now, but it didnt used to do this prior to some patch a while back.

To give specifics, I turn on my ps3, go to my SF disc and click to play it, the monitor goes black. No matter how long I wait, it will do nothing until I turn it off and then back on, and then I can get to playing. I can’t seem to find a setting to fix this. Any help/advice?

The game runs at 720p, maybe it has something to do with the resolution you have it set to on the PS3?

PS3 is at 1080p. I suspect that this is the cause of it (somehow), but shouldn’t the monitor recognize resolution changes automatically? Like I said, this worked in the past, but I think some patch changed it. Has anyone else who has their ps3 at 1080p had this issue?

I have the VH246H and it doesnt do that on the most recent patch 3.72 The VW246H though is a completely different monitor. I know the input options are different than that of the VH series.

Try setting the ps3 at 720p since both marvel and sf4 run at that resolution and see if it still occurs.

That does work, but now I have a comparatively fuzzy menu in 720p. I just wish the monitor could recognize the relevant input a bit better. Black screen all day until I turn it off and on to get it working again.
