Asus vh238h no sound

I using a Asus VH238H for my gaming pc and for what ever reason I get any audio. I use a MS-7693 btw.

How is your PC connected to your monitor, if with an HDMI cable then in hardware and sound -> using HDMI output?

Dvi is video only so of course you’ll have no sound unless you have speakers connected to your motherboard. :smiley:

I do and still no sound is playing

So it has nothing to do with your monitor then? Your speakers are connected to the right connections on your motherboard? Plugged in to the wall if needed and in windows sound options do you see the speakers show up and are set in playback?

And like I said DVI is video only, no audio passes through it so your PC is only giving the monitor video, HDMI cable will give both video and audio as would a Displayport cable if your monitor and PC has that port.

So what do you see under playback in the windows sound options?

I see speakers, Headphones and 2 Digital Audio

Enable the speakers and see if it works, if it is connected properly to the monitor and motherboard it should be able to be enabled, right click properties then use this device.
