Asus monitor sound distortion soultions?

I got myself an Asus setup (24" VE248H) a couple weeks ago along with some logitech speakers (Logitech-Z313 2.1-Channel Speaker System) to get some real sound since the built in monitor ones really sucked.

One thing I noticed though is when the volume is on higher is that there’s a lot of distortion when there’s no music or sound occurring. It ranges from a light static sound to watery effects (think of an aquarium) to beeps.

I tried plugging my headphones directly into the monitor and found out that it’s the source of the problem.

Are there any solutions to clearing it up?

Are you running your speakers from the Monitor or your Audio/Video source, like a game system or PC?

Run the speakers direct from the source, not from the monitor.
