Lol Capcom is ridiculous. Between dlc interactive anime episodes and 12 more characters in SxT coming eventually it’s like… sigh I just don’t know what to feel even thought releasing episodes as DLC was kind of my idea I just don’t know how to feel.
So I actually gave in and bought it. And WTF? Interactive anime DLC? No DLC adding more gameplay? CC2, you guys are starting to make me regret paying this game in full. :shake:
That review is exactly how I feel. I really wanted to like this game but when I played the demo and saw the play through, all hope was shattered. Asura’s Wrath has some of the most epic trailers too. It’s a heavy blow that none of the epicness you the player actually do. You just sit back and watch…
Was so excited about this game until reviews started popping up. I was optimistic before about the full game being able to offer more gameplay but guess i was wrong, its such a shame. Going to give this a rent though no doubt, i believe this game is something that everyone should at least experience.
So far I’m on episode 6 I think, I like it tbh I probably would have not payed full price for it but I knew what I was getting before I went on and bought it so yea.
Dont get me wrong the game is awesome the anime cut scenes and art is fucking beautiful just that the combat is just so blan (well atleast so far)
Only “advanced” combo seems to be [O xN > Dash Attack > Jump Cancel > O xN > Dive Attack] xN Sure you can mix in a Heavy Attack when you’re not overheating or in Unlimited Mode.
Spam Rapid Fire to fill up the Unlimited Gauge so you can spam Heavy Attack on crowds even more for a limited time.
Not that deep and nothing too complicated. Anyway I honestly wouldn’t mind if the combat system was this simple if it was on the PSP and it focused more on the beat 'em up portion, it would be a great stress reliever on the go IMO.
fuck it. I’m picking this up in a few. trade-in credit will go soon, but this and DMC-HD will more than likely be the last Crapcom games I get. they’re done. Platinum Games from here on out.
If you accept it for what it is and enjoy it for the visuals and story, then you’ll generally have a better time than someone who was totally expecting a full fledged beat 'em up game like me and a few others.
It’s one of those “don’t focus on the cup’s empty half but the half that’s filled” type of situations IMO.
