The engines are a tool…it’s all about the artists and programmers and what they do with it.

On the subject of all the quick time events, I’m willing to let it slide with this game is it’s one of the only ways to do a game on this type of scale. When you have characters that can level mountains and stuff with punches the only way to really depict that is by making things cinematic. I just hope the playable game in between those parts is intuitive and fun.
Even though the games graphics aren’t the most technically detailed, it’s probably one of the most visually creative games to come out recently, even with the Unreal Engine which has been around forever now. The team doing all the art designs and set pieces did a really great job from what has been shown so far.

Finally some straight gameplay. I really hope the game has a ton of the regular gameplay stuff. It looks good. I hate that this game looks like it has everything going for it and yet i’m still weary…:\

Yea man…It really has me hesitant… andI’m someone who has argued in favor of QTEs in the past so I think that says something.
Personally I don’t mind QTEs, I actually like them as long as they’re not on some Ninja Blade shit.
Right, which is what I’m worried about. Abundance. I like QTEs in games like Bayonetta and God Hand. They pull them off really well (Godhand better then Bayo tho) and you still have full range of skills to killorize shit with. I hope this game has a good balance.
LoS was full of bad QTE’s, ie, you have to QTE most if not all enemies just to even cause damage… not just to kill them.
you know QTE’s are bad when you play a new game, a certain scene comes up, and you get a “oh know, this looks like a I may need to press “X” moment” then nothing happens. Lol, AC: Revelations got me good with the falling old tower scene that leads to an underground obstacle course.
38% into the game and not one QTE prompt. I was still lookin’ for one. SMH.

LOS had a lot of bad QTEs yea, but you could kill most stuff without using them…you just got less for doing so lol. I still like that game for the most part. flaws out the ass but I still liked it quite a bit until i finished the Castle.
