Assault on San Bernardino - Dec 2

I am currently reading a book on the nature of evil. Not too far into it but to out anyone who commits an evil act as a nut that should not be payed attention to is part of the problem. There’s more to being evil than having a few screws loose, because most of human history humans were doing evil things.

…so they’re cholos?

I would go as far to say that humans are *naturally * evil, but that’s probably a topic for another discussion.

(No reason to not discuss it here, really, especially given what how this thread might otherwise devolve and the lack of actual, reliable information right now.)

I can’t say that I believe in “evil” for the most part still personally, despite also having a book or two on it and having several about it and other abstract ones. What book exactly are you reading, @Negative-Zer0? Evil: A Primer by William Hart is the one I remember reading on the subject years ago on a whim.

Evil: Inside Human Violence and Cruelty by Roy F. Baumeister

He takes an objective look at the nature of what we call “evil” with a look at history, psychology, culture, and our own subjective opinions.

oh boy, here we go with retardation

Apparently one of the suspects is a female.

GTFO.

How many people are going to call Timothy McVeigh mentally ill?

How many people are going to call Cho Seung Hui a terrorist?

Narrowminded post is narrowminded.

You support U.S. Gun Laws…cool.

Bet a 100 a feminist group will get involved?

Yep

Edit:

(Meh, I’ll just wait until tomorrow if I want a chance at reliable news. Night all.)

Not that I want(ed) to turn this into “Race Wars: The Thread MMLXIX”, but unfortunately @“Missing Person”, when it comes to mass shootings in America, there’s a rather…telling disconnect on how reluctant the media and even law enforcement as a whole is label “mere” mass shooters as (domestic) terrorists the majority of the time, especially if they’re white and even if they’re known to be part of or sympathetic to non-ISIS terrorist groups like the KKK. Timothy McVeigh is more an exception that doesn’t prove the rule than anything really, especially since he used a bomb rather than a gun and killed happened to kill a bunch of children; I don’t remember the Sandy Hook shooter ever getting called a terrorist despite the fact that he also killed a bunch of children though, so even that’s not really a factor.

Hmmm…I’ve never heard of it and don’t own it. I suppose I’ll have to look into it. Thanks.

the way I look at it, evil is by eliminating that last 10-20k years of civilization or so and I look at strictly how our ancestors millions of years ago behaved. To them, evil (in our modern context, being a civilization) was equal to survival. You had to kill to eat, which people consider evil nowadays if you do it to a dog or a pet. You had competition to eliminate for territory, women, etc, which was needed in order to reproduce and survive, which I consider the “purpose” of humankind, at a biological level. I’d actually like your guys thoughts on this matter, be it if you disagree with me, agree, or are indifferent.

i was pretty close to the area when this all happened. i’ll give yall a rundown

i was just getting out of class (around 2pm) at cal state san bernardino when i heard about the shooting. it was pretty panicky for a few hours tbh. everyone i saw was on the phone with friends and family to make sure they were alright. i got in contact with some friends that lived near the area where the SUV was downed to make sure they were safe. the police were pretty quick to start covering the entrances and exits to the school. a friend of mine at UCR said their school was put on lockdown. CSUSB made an early close at 6pm with alot of the later afternoon classes getting cancelled. the news coverage was pretty scattered but by around 5pm it seemed like the police had cornered the suspects into a smaller area on the south end of the city so i felt it was safe enough to go home.

just a reminder for yall to stay vigilant when you’re going to public places. if you haven’t had any live shooter scenario training you should look up tips on how to handle a situation like that.

Aa somebody who lives close and is a gun owner

This has shit all to do with gun control

This was an act of terrorism, murder, and ignorance

Fuck

California has the strictest gun laws, but if people want guns. They will get them. Legally and all that

I think isis really would go through 4chan and recruit the antisocial sociopath

This was planned for the day. White guy and arab being so mad at secret santa.

But honestly, it has more to do with mental health than it is guns

Depends, was Cho carrying the bomb?

I heard Vtech is CT-sided map.

Whoever your friend at UCR was lied to you…there was definitely no lock-down whatsoever.

Ben Shapiro is on the right as a full disclaimer, so if anything seems like agenda pushing you know why.

His article puts all of the facts we know so far into one article.

I go to school at California State university San Bernardino, I’m only 3 miles away from the situation. And they caught the 3rd POS in Redlands where I live. My prayers for those who lost their lives. I just got home now no thanks to all this crap.

This is the worst situation to come to this area in like…well forever. :frowning:

Salty bitches.

What ever happened to good old-fashioned fisticuffs?

Also blaming this kind of shit on neo-nazis?

Fucking Nihilists.

LOL, came full circle. So i guess this wasnt gang/drug related, and now we’re back to terrorism and muslims. smdh. I guess i just wanted it to be something different, considering how odd it was, and the country is already bringing the racist out of the woods right now, doing crazy shit.
