As much as I’m enjoying the beatdown here, the fact that everyone’s still talking about gun control is a truly a testament to the importance of framing the narrative.
- Terrorist attack happens.
- Before anyone has a chance to identity the attack as a terrorist one, Obezzy and his pals in the Liberal Media jump on the topic as a gun control one.
- Starts a long debate about gun control.
- Meanwhile everyday people, who are scared about more terror attacks go out and buy guns to protect themselves. Then they get really confused when they realise the national conversation is still about gun control rather than how the Federal Government can make them feel safer so they don’t feel that they need guns to protect themselves.
- Donald Trump says some outrageous BS about banning Muslims. Everyday people who are sick about listening to a debate about control when all they really want is some assurance of safety find that Trump’s message resonates with them the most.
- Obezzy and Liberal Media get to deflect even further by moving the national narrative to Trump being a bigot.
Sounds like a win-win for Obezzy and Trump who get all their rhetorical shots in. Meanwhile, no actual substantive debate on making people feel safer actually happens.
America- your media is free, but it most certainly isn’t independent.
