Humans will kill, and Americans have always been genocide maniacs since the beginning… They will find a way. However, at this time theoretically it can limit that power. It is harder to create mass killings with knives than it is with guns. You can give one random puny nerd a gun and he will be capable of taking out the entire football team in just a minute. Give him a knife then he will likely fail at accomplishing that, unless he goes all ninja assassin. Americans need to get over their love for guns.

I think the biggest issue out of this whole thing is how you can be on a suspected terrorist list and still purchase a gun legally. That really does make background checks seem pretty pointless. I think something should be done to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill, I just think the Democrats aren’t going to have any real solutions. They will likely just pass some arbitrary bans on magazines or scary looking guns. I am a gun owner, but I am also not on board with the NRA’s stance of no gun control is good gun control. I don’t own an “assault rifle” because I think most of those guns are too damn expensive for what they do.
