Thats true that even tho my strider/doom isnt the best but it does give him alot of trouble but so far with magnus hes just too wiggly to catch and resets dont work since hes always jumping and calling out assist, baiting comando no longer works cuz he cover him by making me block j/ up back plus gunshot into grandade or something then he superjumps to give comando more time to come out again once he hits the floor.

that’s too bad, as I like regular wolverine much better for low tier play (slightly better stamina and speed up, plus hcb+p crossup is nasty with tbonne).

I wonder if Soo tried to do something as Wolvy hit Psylocke, thinking Wolvy wouldn’t actually perform the auto-combo after hitting his assist?

Hmmmm I like MSP. Yeah MSP him. If you can get in close try whiffing a tri jump and then calling Psylocke. React off of that. If it hits both Cable and Commando snap if it hits says Commando and you can see Cable crouching you’ve got a tri jump in there. If you Cable jumping try SJ short and then catching him in a ROM…I really don’t know after that. I may be wrong.

Also even though scrub counters santhrax, storm/sent has good options against Cable…

Is there any real preferred way to wavedashing to get 3+ wavedashes so consistently. Sounds scrubby but hear me out. I double tap forward, df, pp just to get 2 wave dashes which works well in matches. But if I try to get more than 2 wavedashes for xup or anything I always fuck up the input some how. I know most people df+pp the entire thing the whole way, but I play on a Happ iL-made 8-way and some random super and/or special comes out when I try to wave dash df+pp like that. I know most of the Marvel community plays on P360 but I don’t think it’s necessary to accomplish something like this. Any technique suggestions?

hey im looking for some info on team MSS with drones assist. Did some searching couldnt find much. Combos, strategies or videos doesnt matter just need some help.

^You can kinda take a look at team Santhrax and even team Combofiend to get a feel for how drones are used with MSS…whether they are used to assist in mix-up, resets, extend combos, hitstun, or just break stuff up.

yeah its mainly my magneto + drones that needs help i have solid thrax. I love strom + drones way to much and i dont like rocket punch assits. Am i wrong for feeling this way?

Only cool thing i figured out so far is 4 fierce --> rom

lk+drones, launch or launch + drones(depends on where you and they are) hp addf hp hk land (drones hit here) sj lk lk --> proceed with rom

its not so much the combos that is a problem with magneto, its just that he doesnt utilize drones for a lock down. storm can win a fight by playing keepaway which makes drones pretty useful as the drones are slow moving and she can use them as shield. magneto on the other hand needs to get in. the main focus with magneto drones is to learn how to properly call drones and actually have it make contact (hit or blocked) with the opponent. you can’t call an assist during block stun so that gives magneto is only rush down opportunities.

most people runaway from magneto so the somewhat slow drones takes time to reach the character. its pretty easy to try and avoid them if you’re running away from them. my advice would be to work on playing a better solo mag. if you can get in solo, then thats when you call drones and go for crossups. even if they block the crossup, they’ll be in blockstun from the drones and you can go for another quick tri-jump or mixup.

Either way, MSS is based on solid solo play. thats why most people use RP. you need a good mags, and since the assists aren’t as effective as others, might as well go for the quicker RP that does more damage and can punish assists much better.

storm is good with the drones but you have to think about magneto since he is the point character. on a team like that, you want him to be able to take the advantage at the beginning of the match. picking drones for him isn’t as great as RP so you’re already starting yourself on an uphill battle.

I am not 100%, but I would assume that any character with the ability to fly has fast-fly properties (i.e., being able to execute flight, then cancel some of the flight activation frames by moving)

If this is your question, I know Magnetro posted a video of some interesting ones. Go to youtube or google vids or Zach/Preppy’s site and type in Dhalsim Tutorial. If you haven’t already checked, maybe a Dhalsim enthusiast posted some transcripts in the Dhalsim character threads. Also, watch some match vids of Dhalsim players from any of the video sources above to see if they use any interesting fast fly combos with Dhalsim that catch your eye. The only specific ones that come to mind for me involve the mid-screen fast fly set-up to do Dhalsim’s repeated f.lk into whatever and his corner fast-fly into infinite? (f.lk, f.mk, f.hk) x N [iirc].

You can’t fastfly with sim in the same sense as sentinel - i.e - catch someone with a sj lk then Fastfly Lk

He can combo launch, immediately fly lk (corner only i think) he can do Lk, move forward Lk, Hk, Lk again - keeps sim close to the ground.

Learn his unfly stuff - way more damage.

Yes, strider/doom is a cable counter, but strider doesn’t exactlly counter a smart cable/sentinel. From my experience, cable/sentinel is one of the most difficult match ups ever. Sentinel’s height helps shield cable from bombs, so you strider players need to watch out when you try to pull that. Cable can just duck and let sentinel get hit then counter attack with an ahvb. With sentinel on drones, it blocks strider’s from teleporting on to you most of the time. You need to be careful on how you drop doom , most of the time when you call doom and teleport to catch on to cable (doom still being on the screen), the drones will cover your path and can prevent you from coming in. I remember a certain time when that happened. I threw some rings out and teleport, but the sentinel ate those rings, and the drones covered the area where my strider appeared. Hense pushing strider back and giving cable the oppertunity to ahvb doom.

You need to be aggressive against cable, and you it’s difficult to apply an even amount of carefullness and aggressiveness w/c happens when you take on cable/sent.

Whats your opinion on Mags/Sent-A/Capcom?
