why am i losing all the time with pocket aces?
So by some random psychic vein right before i read this thread i was downstairs playing with a deck of cards and decided to put pocket aces up against the most likely hands to take it down imo which was 5/6 suited and j/10 suited. Results were pocket aces only winning 10 times out of 23 after all 5 cards were out. So basically, the reason you aren’t winning is because the average winning hand is about 2 pair and in low limit play with 5-6 people per flop, your hand may be a favorite but not over a 50 percent favorite to win at showdown time. It might also be because you pump aces too hard or because you run into quads, hehe.

I love P-Ken, but I say A-Ken is better. A-Ken plays far too similarly to C-Ken, which is the best Ken. Only difference is short short super is replaced by random activate

Texas Hold’em is the game of choice right now…card counting is for blackjack, and is still viable. You just have to be really good at keeping the count straight, and even better at not getting caught. 'Cause, it ain’t illegal, but once you get caught, you’re never allowed into any casino.

What can Geese(A) do against Chun§it seems I get stuffed on alot of attacks and when I go and bait a counter I eat cr.jab x2 cr.foward super. I know she has a low dizzy but she can stuff everything Geese has to offer. Can someone break this down. 
Only thing that seems to work is run away build meter and wait for a poke so I can counter activate it.

On the note of card-counting… I’ve always wondered how on earth do you actually get ‘caught’ counting? I mean if you’re doing it in your head and continue to just stare around blankly then how on earth do they catch you

Go read books and play a lot of games with friends. Card counting is only done in blackjack. You can be caught if you are consistently betting with the correct odds. FOR EXAMPLE- you know that you’re a favorite to beat the dealer right now because your card counting skills show that you’re a favorite to win whatever comes on the next hand. You put in a huge bet instead of a small one. If you’re extremely consistent with the way you bet according to what cards have been shown and you are making a lot of money doing it, the casino is going to review some tapes on you and ask you to leave. So it’s not really the actual counting that will get you in trouble, it will be smart bets that will get you in trouble. So yeah, fuck blackjack, just learn poker, then all you have to do is play better than the person sitting next to you and you’ll get money.

Ok well heres the basic answer to your question. When playing a groundgame, geese really has none, his mid/longrange poke game sucks beans and he doesn’t have anything safe he can do that chun won’t poke your eye out with. So you have to do what many characters can do in cvs2 as long as they are in a-groove; don’t play a footgame at all. Running away and building meter to make yourself a thread is a perfectly acceptable tactic. you can always jump back, and if you frustrate her and score a knockdown you get big mixups with his throw/crossup/jab jab sweep options. In what situation vs. chun are you using those counters? I’m not a geese player but vs. chun I’ll tell you that any counter is always a bad idea if she has meter because you’re basically stuck with this problem, when you counter you have one of two things that can happen, she sticks out the move you predicted and you knock her down and get a mixup, which is good. So this is gonna lead to between 1500-4000 damage most likely. 2nd scenario, she does nothing, watches you whiff counter and pokes you for anywhere from 4000 to 9000 damage PLUS she scores a knockdown and buff mixups that can lead to another 2000 or so damage even without super. So basically, assuming that neither of you hit with your mixups afterwards and she’s just holding a level 1 super. being generous i’ll say geese’s counter does 2000 even though i can’t remember for the life of me how much it does and i’m assuming chun’s strong xx lvl 1 kick super sj. rh takes off about 5000 but i also can’t remember. Anyways, so the damage ratio is 2-5 or to make it easier, she does 2.5 times more damage. SOOOOO for you to justify doing a counter when she has a level 1 super, you need to guess right 3 times out of 4 to make the damage you do worth anything. On a counter, i’d say guessing right 75 percent of the time is unheard if the other player isn’t a total robot. So say the best you can guess is 50 percent and that the opposing chun player is going to miss strong super 50 percent of the time. Well then you’re getting good odds. Keep in mind this is just when she has a level 1 super available. Level 2 or 3 just forget about the odds and don’t do that stupid counter. Hmmm I seem to have answered this question as if i was playing poker. Perhaps the next poker question asked will be answered in cvs2 terms.
