This thread became really fun
Kim, what do you think of AE? Is it more fun than Super or Vanilla? Tokido mentioned that people in Japan don’t like AE as much because Yun is ez mode.
You CANNOT autocorrect charge ultras against a point blank fierce psycho. Trust me, I’ve tried them all.
You can reversal punish it, but only with a handful of things.
Vanilla was the best. Super sucks. AE is a good compromise between both of the games . Yun is cheap but in general the game is much more offensive then super. Tokido doesn’t represent Japan’s overall opinion
I believe you’re only referring to the dragon-punch type of reversals…Chun Li’s Ex SBK makes short work of that super meaty psycho crusher (but yes, it’s great fun to land it on people who attempt to DP crossup PCs hehehe)
I tested EX SBK and Lariat
If Psycho HP is correctly timed, they whiff too.
There are long range moves that can hit it too.
On Block? Which ones? I tried many, but only Seth’s U1 actually worked.
Is this really that important
The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance! lol
Are you playing Mvc3?
Did you catch Ultimate Fighter season premiere? Team Lesnar or Team Dos Santos?
I just got akuma back teleport into ultra 2ed by trying fierce psycho on my wake up. On his wakeup can’t he do the same and catch me?
whats with the event on the 27th march and how is the result of the voting?:o
Yo that low strong OS vs CW happy Feis is sick!
I wanna re-post this Viper info that one of the other guys in these forums put up (sorry I can’t remember who it was so I dunno who to credit, it is good shit anyway)
- Bison lk knee press knockdown and Viper techs.
- Immediately dash forward
- Jump in with Fierce and do a standing roundhouse immediately as you land instead of any other normal bnb starter.
Viper’s options getting fucked:
-
Viper backdashes: She is hit with the jumping fierce. Not enough time or space to backdash properly. You will either hit her and reset her or you will beat her outright and can get a nice chunk of damage with the fierce + standing roundhouse with charge built to do a scissor kick after or whatever you want.
-
Viper tries to go air to air: She is beat on the ground or rest.
-
Viper EX Burn Kick Reversal (Key word is reversal): Whiffs completely, Bison’s st. Roundhouse whiffs completely
-
Viper EX Seizmo Reversal: depending on where you knocked her down in the map and how the camera moved to accommodate the shift, you will either beat her outright and get the st.roundhouse combo or you will land behind her and since you are prepared to do a st.roundhouse immediately upon landing, you beat her EX Seizmo with it as a sort of manual option select overriding the fact that you can’t OS non-meaty jump ins.
-
Viper Fierce TK Reversal: You land behind her and it whiffs completely and since youre roundhouse ready, it just swats her out of the air.
-
Viper EX TK or EX QCB(HCB??) : whiffs, you whiff.
-
Viper forward dashes: your fierce whiffs and more than likely your st. roundhouse whiffs. The only option Viper has here besides blocking that doesn’t end up leading to her eating damage and is actually probably a really good answer. Problem is that unless Viper players know of this particular exploit, forward dashing against a jump in seems like a terribly counter-intuitive idea, but against Bison in this spacing setup its the only thing that works.
my own edit: having tested this myself this set-up seems to lose to delayed EX Seismo on wake-up. Not tested vs delayed Fierce TK delayed reversal yet.
Obviously this set-up can’t be used all the time but it seems useful to use once or twice in a match
March 27th’s event was postponed indefinitely.
I’m going to be the bison on the Kanagawa team. I won the vote. The event is happening on April 30th.
Awesomeeeeeeee!
Congrats Kim, glad to know my vote helped a teeny little bit
Btw, do you have any thoughts on the AE DLC? Eg. Would you want Capcom to tweak the balance or leave it as is?
I’m having a little trouble with Chun…
Any tips?
standing mk and cr mp are good poking tools for this vs imo. Rush her down when she has no meter and drive her into the corner. When she has knock down try to bait out ex sbk and punish. Be patient and play that keep away to force her to come to you and fustrate the player.
Look @ jeron vs chun

there a long set between the 2 but jeron is a very schooled dictator player.
Keep the pressure zone your space and remember you u have 99 secs dont play reckless.
Don’t jump. Build Meter and ultra guage. Use stand forward. Beat dat ass
When she has no meter, keep up the pressure games, use those lk or cr.lk if you’re in close range.
Do some deep j.hp when she’s knock down and have no meter, if it hit, you can do some good combos, if its blocked you can do block string to build meter faster or jab then throw mixup, if you miss, just get ready to throw tech or back teleport (only if she doesn’t have Ultra and the wall isn’t directly behind you).
If she has meter, never ever jump in EX SBK beats a lot of stuff, unless you have the life to get her to spam those move (which I wouldn’t even recommend you to try).
If you have meter and she has meter too, you can keep out at a distance where Chun is just at the tip of your HK, you can be quite rash at that point and chuck a EX Scissors to by pass her fireballs if she throws one or interrupt her moves (don’t anticipate throw this only if you see moves other than lp or lk), or interrupt her fireballs with MK and HK pokes (if you’re lucky).
Bison option selects
Kim, what are the bison option selects you use the most?
