I think them changing the motion of U2 totally negates the purpose of the ultra, but I guess I’ll take the damage boost over nothing
My bison rarely has super meter to begin with, but I might try to save it up more now that I know super goes through all projectiles. Dash --> super might be easy too. Get a charge , dash, mash circles on the joystick
Stand rh damage nerf isn’t that big of a deal.
Bison seems to be the same . I never thought u2 was that good to begin with. I’ll trade the super and ultra buff anyday for a slight nerf on the rh damage
Most of the characters I dislike got their stupid tactics nerfed, maybe I’ll like this game more then ssf4
Invest so much meter into a combo on bison seems not really rewarding, and risk being FADC ultra is not what I want, so how you deal with those pressure?? I am really have problem guessing and slow adoption.
I mean stay at their face is all right, but defend everything = basically defend nothing, so always leave little gap (like showing an oblivious mistake, whiff normal/ such as your back teleport sometime) can make them want to punish but when they do it you already have back up and normally their next jump in/focus/dash back can be their doom.
it sounds easier than do but when I see your video is just like clock work…and when I try to mimic it I eat solid UC from scrub like EVERY TIME like they own me.
just want to learn this game, those footsie guide is useful, but some of them still too deep, any suggestion like what is your learning path before you get to your level today??
I don’t really know what to suggest. Record your matches and make note of what you did wrong and what you got hit by. Try to figure out a reason for the things you did good and bad
I guess I could ask any good Bison this question but just thought to keep the questions in this thread going.
What’s the use in this combo --> cr.LK 4x, LK SK FADC to another cr.LK 4x into MK SK ?
Damage is the same as in the easy and safe cr.LP, cl.LP, cr.LK, SK LK (+100 stun though). I’m grinding hard to learn the low short into low short and it’s much more impressive now to see it in an actual match that I now how hard it is.
There isn’t one really. You use it if you realize half way through the combo that , to style on them, or to push them further towards the wall. The last reason is the most practical, but usually not worth the 2 bars unless you really need that space.
I kind of autopilot c.LK c.LK c.LK and usually it takes me about 3 to 4 c.LK’s to confirm it into a Knee Press because I’m a bad player and I react really slow.
I know it’s early but… any preliminary opinions on the Yun/Yang matchup with Bison?
From what I’ve read, Mago believes Yang has a great ground game and Tokido outlines Yun’s many options to get large damage. Both sound very dangerous. Yun was one of my mains in SF3 and having both Genei-Jin and You-Hou available in the same round amazes me. I used Yang quite a bit too and he’s no slouch either, maybe even better than Jun considering Mago’s opinion. Perhaps you’ve heard something from your fellow top players? Arcade version can’t come out soon enough.
A small questions from the posted by m16ghost.
Why is the bison player pressing downback+all punches+LK on wake-up on many occasions?
Also, why is the c.LK(blocked) into cl.HP frametrap/counterhit setup so much more popular than into a Roudhouse? Of course you can cancel the Fierce into a SK but it’s 2 frames slower (8 vs 6). I usually get interrupted if I try to do close Fierce.
I like tight setups with 1-3 frames so I’m sure I can beat anything except an invincible reversal, otherwise I’m scared
seriously? :amazed:
your bison is good, at least not as broken as mine.
sometime don’t link those c.lk x3 since what happen in that clip last few sec happen on me all the time, and specially guile, you do a c.lkx1 tic and c.lkx1 wait, c.lkx1 wait again or in corner do a psychic EX head stomp (which cab beat Flash kick on the air)
another thing, how to escape a very good gief trap? he is scary and mind fk me since 1 knock down, option select green hand, and he mix it with light lariat which is hard to punish, and he DOES not jump in, he do a neutral jump head butt.
c.lk overhead and nightmare combo start from there, I can eat anything up close and his combo almost never drops…
btw he have 0 BP, I don’t know maybe he rinse his account back to 0 like some people do?
Downback is to ensure down + back charge. As for mashing random buttons, he wants quickstand which comes out from either hitting down or hitting two buttons together.
Cr. lk, cl. st. fp is better than cr. lk, st. rh because it eats up LATE crouch tech which is what most good players try to do since it’s generally the safest way to crouch tech. Also you can combo cl. st. fp into cr. lk (hit confirm) xx scissors. If someone crouch techs early, it’ll beat cr. lk, cl. st. fp, but then you adjust your frame traps like staggering shorts (cr. lk, PAUSE, cr. lk, cr. lk xx scissors).
I’ve also mentioned that I like cr. lk, cl st fp, cr. lk because I believe there are two frame traps there: one between cr. lk into cl. st. fp and another if cl. st. fp is blocked, to cr. lk.
Thanks for all the answers guys, I’m soaking it all up.
Question to Kim, what do you think about Bison’s option selects? Are there enough of them? Do they cover most aspects you would want them to? What in your opinion are the top3 most useful OSs? Don’t really want to put you on the spot and ask which ones you use the most, but which are most relevant and deserve attention?
