After i get someone really good with the abel tricks i have at my disposal they start running, and i have a hard time keeping them pinned down.
On the other hand some guys come in on me so hard with normals and only normals. The ones that are smart about it dont seem to have an opening. When i dont have meter i feel helpless and sometimes i feel helpless when i do.
I’m gonna finally hook myself up this holiday with a capture card to start recording all the cheapness that is Abel. I honestly have like 20+ setups in writing since i went to SBO last year downloaded from nekojita.
I’m excited to finally put them in video
Also, after getting blown up by Rufus (specifically Justin and Ricky, i don’t lose to other Rufus players) the last few majors, i finally decided to go in the lab and figure EVERYTHING out about this MU, including cheap setups and better defensive options. After almost a week of grind, i have to say that I’m pretty happy w/ the results. I’ll record the vids to the tech when i get a hold of that capture card
When should you stay infront on a roll mixup and when should you cross up? Is it just to keep your opponent guessing or is there distinct advantages to the sides besides a bit of frame advantage on the front roll?
I didn’t get to play him, unfortunately. I did get to play Kaiser (best Yun in Singapore) and did pretty good against him. http://youtube.com/#/watch?v=QZpUlKIt65g
Personally, i think the MU is 5-5. Kazu bodies Nekojita for free though, but i don’t think it’s the match-up, i think Kazu is a better player
assumming the yun is playing correctly. shit can actually feel 6-4. even 7-3. srsly. yun controls the pace from the beginning. and by playing yun correctly, i mean pretty much exactly the same prior to 2012 lol. they can still do lunge punch shenanigans if they are spaced and dive kick nerf don’t mean shit if the yun knows how to space them(which is easy vs abel cause of his slow walk speed). Plus the dive kicks are still fast, like yun can still bait cr tech with neutral jmp light dive kick and it still hits(altho it is now slow enuf where characters with fast cr shorts can recover in time like bison).
However, because of his low health(like 2-3 mixups and he dead or stunned) and his lower dmg output(he needs like 5-6 on abel), it is now 5-5…at worst 5.5-4.5. It is kind of like vs seth, the dude CAN’T mess up. And if you get a good ex TT on him, it may very well be over. I call this a “weather the storm” type matchup cuz all you can do is get pressured nonstop until an opening hpns and do dat ex TT or Cod. Matchup is mad hard for abel if he has no meter tho…
definitely this matchup is NOWHERE near as easy as yun vs sim or akuma. Once yun is knocked down by abel(bound to hpn lol) they generally have the fear of god instilled upon them. maybe not kazunoko because he just believes he the best?
