I usually punish with jump fwd hp. It has to be active when the ex devil goes active and they’ll get hit out of it. Depending on where they are on the screen you can wait and ex falling sky also. The j.hp loses if they do nothing (I don’t think this is perfectly safe though)
You can also OS the forward jump to cover back teleport and back dash - you’ll need to react to which option he chooses in order to punish (j.hp for EX Devil Reverse, j.mk for back dash or teleport, block/throw/whatever mix up for block) but it’s still better than taking a wild guess.

So does anyone know the inputs Nekojita uses to armor cancel without using meter? I can EX COD armor cancel, but I don’t know how he does it without using meter.

I’ve asked him to show me how he does it. If he goes for roll, then it’s just one qcf motion, the PP/KK need to be pressed right after the other, kind of like plinking.

if you are hitting 2 buttons after CoD, you will always ex. plain and simple (sounds dumb but after this video a bunch of ppl message me asking that too) its all timing and doing it on wakeup against a jump in makes it super easy. the only hard one to cancel is falling sky WHEN you have super, it gets a lil tricky.
the thing is, sometimes, armor cancelling into ex moves can cost 2 meters. i havent tested the specifics but i know ive done it a few times before, usually followed by cursing because i just wasted 2 meters lol

Ive practiced armor cancellin into TT etc a few weeks back, it didnt feel as fast anymore, but still the tricky part is to time it…
oh and i did armor cancel lp falling sky against guy’s j.mk crossup(on wake up), it worked and the guy’s player mind was blown lol
but i still wanna test it, especially in none wake up situation to see how hard it is
