Art's Hobbies - DIY Acrylic Cases

Sold. Can’t wait for a release date and price… Are you going to be selling templates for the top as well? I’m thinking purple case with my Akuma, Juri, Chun li template for the top (same as the one I just purchased from you actually lol) except for this case’s size. Semitsu skellies, clear purple ball top. And Akuma Ten symbols on the corners like you did in your sample pictures. It’s going to be glorious.

Now I just need to learn the PCB stuff so I can get it to work on my 360 lol

I only sell the cases by themselves. I do not sell an entire stick with all the components. That will have to be done by yourself, or a stick builder of your choosing.

Ok well I got someone that can put it together for me so its in August or October when they will be available to buy and it start out at $60 right including like my name engrave in it or that would cost extra?

i was gonna cop anyways BUT the buttons on the side make it even more win

i got the sanwa’s parts (1 JLF, 6 action buttons and 2 select and start button in reds) do you have the art work the suitable for my parts…??

arthong does not design or make any art.
He just Prints and Cut them.

There’s a purple mirror acrylic tear drops

Let me know who I have to kill to get an arrangement for some of that lol.

Will you be supplying all screws? and will there be a wire slot like on the TE?

A cord opening? It’s mentioned in the OP where he says you could swap out that panel for one with a Neutrik jack, so it’s implied to be the standard back panel.

Is this the wire slot you asking for?

I don’t know what a wire slot is to you.
But I call those cord opening like Barrakketh.

I can’t front, I wish I was in a room with all the parts in all the colors to try and piece together the look I want…I just know mirror and purple acrylic lol…I’m still in disbelief at how hot that is.

Are those corner pieces custom or is it premade designed?
-:bluu:

arthong makes them using 1/4" Acrylic.

I’m planning to build my first full custom arcade stick with one of these acrylic cases, and putting in the RJ-45 MC Cthulhu+ IMP+ Xbox 360 Dual Mod Tutorial Diagram mod… I was wondering if there was enough room/pcb storage space? to accommodate 3 different pcbs? Can I put 3 PCB plates inside? Sorry for the easy questions, this will be my first advance project.

Do i really need 3 pcb plates or is it easy to make the imp, etc, stay in place inside the case?

Hi there, you have plans on doing some of these cases for a Korean stick ( Fanta myoungshin actually ) in the future?

I love your art in cases, i’m gonna buy one for sure!

This is very awesome. Art, congratz to you and I really hope you are successful with this product. I may just buy one but it depends when it will be released and if I have the $$$ lol.

Two suggestions:

  1. You said in the Q&A that the plastic may become stripped due to multiple screwing in and out. One suggestion for that is for the screw areas that are screwed a lot like the top and bottom panel can have a flat screw bottom + nut combo instead of the pointy screws.
Also, theres these things that are made of metal that take screws. One of the stick builder on here using them in his wood cases so that the wood doesn’t get stripped. I can’t remember the name of them.
  2. I’m still worried about the 1/8 top panel. Most stick builders (including myself) at least put a lower support for the plexi top. I actually use 2, a 1/4th real wood and a 1/8th hardboard. It may incease the total price from what you want to sell them for, but consider changing the top panel size to at least 1/4th. It will make a lot more people confident, including me.

The Diamond Joints already have a “Flat Bottom” Screw + Nut Combo.
You can’t really see it in the pictures that are in the First Post.

I don’t know if I’m allowed to show you the detail of the Diamond Joint, so I won’t.
Not as in trying to keep the design safe, but a different reason.

Until arthong shows you the Diamond Joints himself, this is all I can direct you to.

Closely on the bottom-left.

Closely bottom-right.

The 1/8 plexi seemed to work pretty well for the panel replacements.

art sign me up man!

this is crazy!!

Looks like I’ve found my McThulhu case. This is highly bad ass!

Expect payment once these roll out. Good shit, Art!

Marcus

Can they survive being dropped? I’d be so scared to play on them… Still so beautiful looking.

^ I highly doubt they will just randomly break. plexi that thick isnt easy to break. I wouldnt worry.

these case look badass. I totally want one even though I have 3 sticks and 1 cabinet lol…
