Art's Hobbies - DIY Acrylic Cases

Thanks for the reply. I will hit him up via email. B)

I want to order a plain black plexi for my Panzer 3 Hitbox as I’m tired of stick art. But I was thinking of getting a little something etched onto the plexi. How do you know what portion of the image will show as light and what will be ā€œdarkenedā€ in the etch? Are lighter colors usually etched white while the darker color areas don’t get touched ā€œstay darkā€? Someone let me know if you can. I didn’t know where else to ask. Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind, I just read the FAQ at the tek-innov. website and understand it now. Thanks.

What is the lowest case size we can get here? I would like to have something like 5.5cm of height. Is it possible? Or they only have fixed height parameters for the cases?

Thanks in advance

Tek-Innovation cases are fixed in height; they don’t do custom-sized cases.
According to the website, Tek-cases are measured at 2 1/4" high, which converts to 5.7cm. Sounds like it’s pretty much already at the height that you want?

Ok bro. Thank you very much. I think that I will go with one of this in the future

Been trying to get a hold of Arthur through email but have not had any luck. Is this dude still alive?

The website looks like it was last updated on June 8th this year (so about a month ago), and he does mention that he’s swamped on emails.
So I’m pretty sure he’s still active, but just packed and busy.

His laser cutter took a shit and he was trying to get replacement parts forever. He is probably neck-deep in requests and status updates now that he’s back up and running.
I ordered a panel from him not long ago and it got to me in less than two weeks via USPS. (though I live two hours away from him)

Email him again. He’ll get back to you.

quick question - Arts hobbies mention different thickness for plexi covers. Which one would fit the HORI HRAP N PRO flush with the surface? thanks!

the thinnest possible… that would be the impact-modified 1/32" acrylic. Just note however that due to the process to create the impact-modified stuff, there might be minor blueish-tint that may slightly distort the colors on your art print. It’s nothing major at all, but depending on the colors used, it might be noticeable.

…at least this was my experience a year ago. I had him print and ship OG red Vewlix art panel, and with the 1/32" plexi overlaid, the red kinda looked a bit purple.
