Art,
I was on the site and I didn’t see any replacement diamond joints. I think I may need to grab a few just to be safe.
Look what spenz sent me.

Surprised he was able to cram those boards in. Definitely something to consider for future revisions of the case though.
It’s an interesting fit for 4 boards in the case, but it works. Takes some planning, to be sure.Art, it may not be a bad isea to package 2 of the PCB holders with the holes drilled instead of one with and one without. If you don’t need them, no harm no foul. If you do, it saves you from drilling your own.
BTW, as long as nobody mentions the fact that the wiring on that board is wrong we can all be friends. It was late and it’s been sorted out since then…
@spenz im only counting the 3 boards in the pic…wheres the masterstrike? and i agree on both pcb holders having holes, just makes sense. the funny thing is that i see, even all that in there, more available real estate to work with. do you think a glue gun would work to hold more stuff down in there, or is the acrylic surface too smooth?
The masterstrike is under the MCC
You have to consider that I’m having him assemble it with the spaces for the BB “ballast” on the side.
wonder if instead of having the pcb flat in the case would maybe stacking it on its side help with the space situation… not the 360 pcb of course…
Stacking them on the side is a thought, but you would then be limited to how tall the PCB could be and be concerned with how to access the wires. Art’s setup is quite ingenious and works well given the space inside and how the PCB holder is part of the support structure of the case. With smaller PCBs it’s a great fit. Only when you’re doing padhacks with bigger PCBs (I’m looking at you 360 controllers!) would you have to get creative with your fitment.
I have yet to get one of the plexi cases… but as far as 360 pcbs go, whats stopping you from removing the dead space on the 360 pcb? I know you can get that thing incredibly small if you plan ahead and use the traces, but even without that you can clear yourself up quite a bit of room…
You very well can hack down the madcatz fightpad pcb if you like. It’s still going to be much wider than the pcb holder. You’ll just end up woth a ‘T’ shaped board instead. Take the picture above. I could cut down the board and have better access to the joystick screws, but to wouldn’t make much difference as far as mounting anything else is concerned. Now, once the PS360 PCBs catch on, or if you use the joytron pcb, it would be a moot point
hey guys jake here
a friend of mine (that doesnt own a tek case) is saying that my sanwa snap in buttons wont work well (if at all) with the tek case s1 b. we was watching the how to video and he decided that 30mm snap ins i have are made for a metal and wont work in the tek case.
i think he is wrong for he is not in possession of a tek case and he has never installed buttons in one of Art’s cases. also, i seem to have recognized pictures and clips of cases that had snap in buttons.
our question is… will my sanwa 30mm snap in buttons work fine with the tek cases we’re looking at?
Confirmed to work. The way the support panel is cut does not add thickness to the plexiglass housing the buttons, thus, snap-ins can be mounted in them.
Jake here…
Nice, thanks a bunch Nerrage.
Now, the anticipation and the wait for the goods to arrive.
I can’t wait to construct this one will be fun.
I am so happy with all of options available. Visually stunning.
Hey Art do orders take 10-14 Days, or 10-14 Business days meaning only count Mon-Fri?
Thanks,
Hello Art, I had a thought.
I’ve been real big on doing project box sticks and I plan on getting one of your cases when I get the cash. How much would it cost to get a DB-25 pin slot where the RJ45 connector normally goes?
I’ve ordered before and it is business days only that are counted.
Damn, I guess I’m at business day number 8…I got all the parts ready, I just need that sweet case
Just ordered, can’t wait to see how it all comes together on my new dual modded TE Thanks for including the additional directions box, as I had to say something about cutting the art.
how does the art work in these case’s? what is the size and all? I might be purchasing one of these case’s. What is the best thing to do to put art in these? I’m making my first stick and Im new when it comes to this stuff. Playing is one thing but building is a whole new ball field to me! Thanks for the help!
Measurements can be ascertained from the TEK-CASE templates here:Welcome to Art’s Hobbies However, by filling your artwork into the template properly, you would not need measurements, as this is pre-measured and ready for print and use.
Also, do be sure to read this useful info about submitting artwork properly: Welcome to Art’s Hobbies
Then, purchase an artwork print and cut: Welcome to Art’s Hobbies
As well as an additional 1/16" plexiglass cover for TEK-CASE (Welcome to Art’s Hobbies) used to sandwich the artwork. It will attach to the top of your TEK-CASE, and secure your artwork in place.
Be sure that your when you order artwork and your plexiglass cover that it matches your button configuration of your TEK-CASE and template.
