Art's Hobbies - DIY Acrylic Cases

Hey Art!

Thanks for replying. I am going to be using my TE’s guts most likely (they already have the Rj45, MCC, and Imp mods all done on it). Either way, whether its a TE or SE they are both for 360.

I was wondering, if you were willing to cut the turbo area out on the top and top support (Tek Case version B) then that could be cool? If it puts the top at potentially being a little weaker I imagine that the version B layer will also help. I’ll just make sure I am careful. Other than that I can’t really think of an alternate position. What do you think?

All right, Art.
You got me.

I finally decided to drop some coin in your direction:
Picked up a full panel TE plexi, plus your new Revision B tek case. With a few add ons.
Came to $168 after shipping, just shy of $180 Canadian… Ouch.
Now I need to get about $100 worth of stuff from lizard lick.
Hah.
Oh well… It’s my birthday on the 15th, so I guess I can splurge a bit sans guilt. Perhaps.

I’ve never built a stick before, though, so I’m gonna have to read me some homework.

Cheers,
-Jordan

Hey Art, how do I indicate that it’s the 1/16" artwork panel that I want etched and not the 1/8 top panel?

korean stick supported in the future? hehe

sorry but yeah i love my k stick !

Has anyone redone the blazblue layout for these? I want to etch it to the top panel.

d3v did.

For TEK-CASE butteroj wants.

Quick question, is it possible to special request a 5 button layout (still based on the Vewlix design, just minus the mid kick button) for an extra charge?

Edit: Nevermind

Hey Art, sent my order, but having it shipped to spenzalii for work (as well as unified shipping for the rest of the parts).

Such a damn pain to upload my shit. Running out of ways to shrink the files down. Looks like I’m going to have to use multiple uploads.

EDIT: Crap! Am at my third try. Darn thing keeps failing on me, despite me using Firefox.

Correct. I edited a TE template to fit however I wasnt able to remove the shadowing from the button surrounding designs :-(. The writing, Type B txt, top/bottom border and Joystick surround are all set though. I wonder if it would etch ok with shadowing on everything?

Hey d3v.
I was having a problem uploading my rar files, too.
I normally use firefox, but it wasn’t working. Gave it a try in IE and it went through without a hitch.
Odd, considering IE usually makes me want to pull my hair out.

Hope that helps,
-JD

I know it’s been only roughly eight days since the release, but has anyone got their case in the mail yet? I’m not expecting mine till next week, but I’m just curious.

…I wonder exactly how many orders art has had for these in the past week… whether it’s been in the tens twenties or fifties… doubt that it could be that or more, but hey you never know.

can’t seem to be able to place an order for a case. After i press order on the case builder all i get is a list of everything i’ve made but the cart is empty

I can just imagine sitting there in front of my 3d TV with 3d glasses on, black light in the background, illuminated arcade stick on my lap, looking like a rage quitting, demonic emperor geek. Nah, but those cases do look lush, shame I’m prone to donkey kong paddies because I’d crack the thing! But for the sound minded, a good buy.

Hey sorry guys, tons swamped so I’m behind on some inquiries. Recently found a server issue which caused me to lose some files and some of the website content reverted to older files. This means my recent updates on the Tek Cases and new Color options in the Useful Info section (The walls of text) have been lost, and some areas to error. I have to shut the site down for now to assess the damage and repair everything. This means tons of work… again, as I haven’t been successful in recovering the recent updated files.

So with orders to fulfill and redoing these site changes I have to push back any questions that are non-immediate to current orders. Sorry for further delaying the new stuff, but this came at me without warning.

Website downtime will not affect current orders.

In other news, a lot of cases shipping today, and tomorrow so at least we’ll start seeing some pics/results within the week. But with everything going on I’m afraid I do have to take the full 14 days to process most orders. Soon as things are back on track I will speed things up again.

Thanks for your patience and support everyone!

Actually, figured out that it was because the damn .rar file was just too damn big. Had to send separate .rar files instead for the top and bottom art.

Does this mean that mine’s been shipped off to spenzalii’s?

responded to email art. blue mirror dark is fine. thanks alot. keep it up and all is good if delayed. one man shop is not easy i bet.

art, I placed an order literally the day the site went down. Sad times, I wasn’t able to upload my art before it went down…however I did get the confirmation email …Item Number: AH092310N10730. Transaction ID #38D78601EG727943R, payment went thru order went in on the 23rd. Just wondering what I should do going forward here…

SO…

Going by Art’s first two posts, we can assume that this case WILL support JLF’s with the usual Flat Mounting Plate (JLF-P-1) and LS-32/-01 and LS-40/-01 with the Seimitsu Flat Mounting Plate RE. The only problem is the LS-32-01 but the stock SS mounting plate on that one can be swapped for the RE Mounting Plate easily.

Good to know we have 3 basic options with the common mounting holes.

I was getting a bit worried but checked the photos of the prototype cab(s) against Akihabarashop’s photos of the mounts and it looks like everything will work out fine.

Hey Art, Im having trouble uploading my artwork it keeps saying, The MIME type of the uploaded file application/octect-stream was not accepted by the server.
