i know its gonna be worth it… i just cant wait… haha… oh wells…
I could really use two of these
Definitely in for two of these.
Art (I know I’m badgering you a lot), but will we be seeing RJ-45 options sometime? Since everything’s modular, you could offer it later, but I know a few of us hope to see it.
What are the button options for the acrylic case? I was thinking of getting one and then getting a Paewang PCB, but the PCB has one extra button (turbo/console compatibility selection). I don’t care for the turbo but the PS3/X360 choice is why I’m getting that PCB. So what are the button hole options? Or what will they be?
Art, someone at Super NCR asked me for some feedback on the acrylic case. He recorded videos where I gave some suggestions. Did you get a chance to look at those videos?
I’ll be ordering one for my son, who wants his own stick. Gotta figure out what colors he wants. Which means Daddy has something to play around with when he goes to sleep. Fun suff!
Hey Jimmy - this is Romeo, the guy who asked you and others for feedback. I had it posted on my channel for a bit, but decided to take it down and give Art the video so he could upload it to his channel. Thanks again for all the information!
These cases look fantastic, but here’s a quick question:
Is there any way that you could add an extra inch or two of space between the stick and buttons on the Blast City layout?
I know it might not be possible for your initial wave of orders, but I have pretty big hands and I like the extra space, especially when there’s plenty of surface area open for it
nice to hear you are searching for the purple plexi to match the purple bubbletop.
I was also wondering about the pcb mount, how modular is that?
I think the best option to make it a dual stick is to get an JOYTRON PAEWANG REVOLUTION in there. Will it be easy to install?
Hey art, you still alive. If not, know any voodoo priestesses who can bring you back from the dead?
Twinkle used Phoenix Down on arthong.
Twinkle: I’m not a voodoo priestess though. He’s probably still busy with all the catching ups from his last PM to me.
Art, sent you an email about an issue with my order
Art is the man. He does great work and takes care of his customers, highly recommended.
Hey guys! So with a lot of requests I finally got some purple plexi sheets in. Here’s a couple of pics.
I’ve got Light Purple and Dark Purple.
In the below picture you can see the light purple matches pretty close to the purple bubble top. The dark purple, to the left, is a little harder to show in this picture because of the lighting and flash.
Here’s another pic of the dark purple with more light passing through. These pics should give you an idea of how dark purple will look in low lighting and brighter lighting.
Now the purple is a little more costly to get because I need to obtain it from a different supplier online. So there adds freight charges, and sheet cutting charges, etc. I will try to keep costs as low as I can, but it’s more expensive than the other transparent colors and thus you know why. I will continue to shop around for better pricing, but for now I’m using this supplier and checking to see how popular the purple will be so I’ll get a better idea of what I can order in the future.
Whew… so other than that I am extremely busy this month getting the tek-cases setup for the site and other things to test out. So forgive me if I continue to be MIA for a bit. LOTS of work ahead =)
Group Hug!
Aren’t the RJ-35 and Neutrik adapters essentially the same in its mounting? If they’re completely different then I’ll need to get one on hand to check things out.
Uh… LOTS of options. Aside from the different configurations on the top panel (Vewlix, Astro City, UMK, etc), you will have button hole options on the side and front panels. So aside from the top panel, you can potentially have up to 10 more buttons on the front and sides (assuming 24mm. Up to 8 for 30mm).
Yeah I saw the video Romeo posted. You were talking about more grip for the Seimitsu buttons and padding on the bottom for those placing the cases on their laps right?
Adding the etchings for the Seimitsus to catch on is understandable. However, making those etchings (grooves) literally adds 4x more time to make the top panel. I may consider that as an added option down the line. But one other thing to consider is to tighten the Seimitsu buttons a lot tighter on the panel. I know in my plexi care instructions I mention not to over tighten it, but that was referring to the 1/16" plexi covers. You can tighten it a lot more on the 1/8" plexis. I’ll have to clarify with Romeo just how tight he may have screwed in his buttons when they fell out. I am keeping all mentioned things under consideration =).
As for the padding on the bottom, I do have a neoprene adhesive padding that I’m working on as an option for the bottom. It’ll be added on just like you would add a bottom plexi to add artwork on the bottom. More info on that later as I haven’t had a chance to apply it and fully test it out.
Thanks for your feedback!
Lol, nice =)
Got it bro. I will chat with you in a bit =). Thanks!
Yes I can, but a more customized layout may have to come a little later. I have pre-set configurations to choose from at this point to speed up production and have not considered full customized button configs just yet. Although, I may consider a pre-set option where I’ll move the joystick further away from certain button configs for larger hands. There’s a lot to do by end of this month so I’ll see what I can add.
What doesn’t get added in at first release, doesn’t mean it won’t get added in later. I’m always up for new ideas and will consider all feedback.
I will talk more about how you can position the pcb mounts around to fit your pcbs. You may be able to see a little of that in the pics from the first page, but I’ll go into more detail when I get a chance to make my tutorial video. But pretty much zipties and different positioning of the pcb mounts should allow you to place any pcb within the size of a pad pcb.
Just running around wild. I still have email to get through. Basically if there’s email that requires a bit more time for me to reply to, I address those after I get through as much work as possible. Did you email me? or did I miss a post of yours somewhere? Just let me know.
Glad to work things out! Thanks!
arthong!
I forgot to send.
Been busy doing Arcade Stick stuff.
Arthong i sended you an email regarding shipping to taiwan can u check email please. So can u ship to taiwan at a reasonable cost??? thank you
Not yet, though I’m waiting for a template file to make art for it. I’ve got some plans for you case that possibly involve ArcEyes and etching (probably similar to what spenzalii is having done to the etched plexi for his VAS-HG).
I’mma need the website update so I can order the good stuff…that purple plexi in a case sounds so nice…
- :bluu:
omg 0.0
that purple plexi is extremely nice,
i needs it also as shaft cover and dust washer
