Art's Hobbies Big Update! 1/32" Acrylic, V.S., Pro, Qanba, HRAP V3/VX, Custom Art Dustwashers

It doesn’t go lower. The bezel really doesn’t sit lower in the panel. The sink within the bezel makes it appear so, but when you remove it, the level is pretty evened out with the stick. It sinks just a tiny tiny bit that leveling difference is negligible.

The extended plexi extends a little past the bezel area so it sits on top of the outer edges. Especially when you have art is applied there is no leveling difference.

It’s a bit hard to explain so hopefully I haven’t confused you too much =P. It may be better off for someone else who has tried the extended plexi to chime in from their experience.

JAJAJAJAJA that is a good one ULTRA MIRROR FINISH!!!jajajajaja

LOL, you just reminded me of the Custom SF4 Voice Over that is freakin hillarious!

You guys gotta check this one out if you haven’t already =)

have to keep in mind on the dustwashers, depending on the material, it might scratch the plexi.

I know for sure the normal stock JLF dust washer scratched up my TE’s stock artwork, so maybe can look into that.

Looking to order from you soon Art, just waiting for some funds/dustwasher/maybe bottom plexi for my TE

gootecks would have mirror acrylic on his sticks, so he could stare at himself all day when he’s not playing.

OOOOH yes, thanks for reminding me about the bottom plexi! Been meaning to get on that too!

wat do u mean? i have a jlf sanwa stick in my TE. will the dustwasher scratch my plexiglass i order from u?

Flipped through every page of this thread and didn’t come across the 7 button Vewlix artwork similar to the artwork that arthong posted on the first page. Does anyone have this artwork? I’m dying to pick up a 7 button plexi and get that artwork in there.

i have a 7 button of the black one…

here’s the 7 button one of the maroon

7 Button Viewlix.

i guess you can print that one out when that pic is maximized the dimensions are 4042x2542

Well, the thing is, it’s hard to say if this is avoidable or not. The scratches occur because in some cases palm pressure is placed on the the dustcover as you’re playing, so it depends how hard you may be hitting the dust cover. But either case, you have a relatively rough piece of plastic rubbing against another plastic. Over time, it’ll create wear. For the most part, the scratches will be under the dustcover so it won’t be noticeable. In other cases, if you’re putting a lot of pressure on the dust cover while moving in the stick, it may cause some wear on the outer edges of the dustcover.

It’s really hard to say as the results will vary. But again, it’s plastic rubbing on plastic with a variable of pressure and time. It’s just plain physics of friction and material. Oh, and depending if you might get dust particles under the dustcover and rubbing against the plexi as well.

If you’re referring to the Full panel Vewlix 7 button artwork, I have that. I took another vewlix floating around modified it to fit the full panel and moved the button positioning a little to be more accurate to the plexi when printing at kinkos. It doesn’t have the vewlix or taito logo in white because I etched it directly on the plexi, but I can add it back on. PM/Email me if you want me to modify it for you. Or, I should just make that available to you guys when I get a chance.

k thx for info, i usually keep my hand on the top of the stick and arm on the bottom so i think the dustcover wont get much or any pressure at all. also, i think i ordered last saturday. u on that batch or how fall u in?

Dark Hadou, dude you just gotta be patient, it will be done in good time, I’m sure. I’m not trying to speak for art, but the more people ask him when they’ll be done, the longer it takes with him having to answer everybody. Trust me, I’ve ordered twice from him, and both times the job has been done quickly, and great quality. I even had a problem with an uploaded file, and he emailed me right away, and got back to me quickly when I fixed the problem. He’s on the job- really

As far as scratching from the dust washer, I think no matter what you do it will happen a little bit over time, but it’s not such a big deal cuz…it’s usually covered by the dust washer, haha. I know we’re all going to art to make our sticks look pretty, but once the job is done, the truth is we gotta go back to beating up on em. They’re for goin’ to war, not putting away in a display case and never touching (unless you have enough money for both :P)

kk i got it, thx and my bad lol.

The TE-Extended does have a thin edge, but it’s hardly noticeable while playing. Go for the full panel if you’re worried about having a flat surface…

I wonder when TE bottom plexi and artwork are available.
I’m looking forward to having it.

No offense to the OP or his business endeavours but why sticky a thread for a Plexiglass cover maker? It would be infinitely more useful to sticky a thread (assuming one exists) detailing the processes and methods used to make your own Plexiglass, or Lexan, etc covers.

I would think it would have been a major topic in the “Essential Joystick Thread” and yet it is not mentioned at all.

Extremely nice work by the way.

Hi Art. I just picked up an se stick to convert to a neo geo config. The question I have is that I have the artwork that I want for the stick and I wanted to know if your also printing the sticky artwork to apply on the stick since I know there are no plexis for the se. I have no photoshop skills whatsoever and after seeing what you did for my te stick your my go to guy for this kind of thing. If not is there anyone you can refer me to? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike

He actually didn’t sticky the thread, only mods can do such a thing.

Organizationally, a link should probably go into the “Essential Joystick Thread” as well but Art’s services are obviously in high demand and thus having a sticky of this thread prevents the 100s of dummy threads about “ZOMG WHERE TO BUY ARTWORK/PLEXI TOP/QUESTION BLAH BLAH.”

The sticky is also just a plain good advertisement for Art and as long as he is providing good stuff, I want him to succeed.

I know he didn’t sticky it himself.

Probably never, inside of the TE isn’t exactly… pretty, unless you’ve got a thing for red glue.
