Art's Hobbies Big Update! 1/32" Acrylic, V.S., Pro, Qanba, HRAP V3/VX, Custom Art Dustwashers

Oh right, sorry. I haven’t gotten to the batch of orders pertaining to your artwork. It’ll take me another day or so before I can get to it to looking at it, although I will confirm if the file actually uploaded, later tonight. If the file itself is missing I’ll message you to try again, and will try to fix the error.

I estimate it to take 7 days for regular orders, and add a day or two for artwork depending on the times I get out to Kinkos. Normally I can do things quicker if the overall orders are what I consider “normal” or “average”, but I’m still catching up from the TON of orders I got from last Monday right when my site re-opened up. Basically it was like a whole week’s worth of work in one day.

But I’m getting closer to finishing up that big batch as I just shipped out a lot more today. So hopefully I can get to around to the batch you’re in, within the next couple of days. Thanks!

kk thx. hopefully it wont be to long.

i just wanted to post a couple of quick pics of my updated stick i had the plexi and artwork cut by ARTHONG and they came out great hope you start making the clear dust covers so i can order one of those and pick up an TE Extended Covers

dude what kind of blue is that, i found a vinyl dye from dupli-color but it’s medium blue

I was gonna ask the same thing. I don’t know if you got the same one as me, I got “hvp 102” or something like that? “Tuner Blue”. It’s a really “loud” blue, which is what I need for the project I’m working on now, but I was wondering about a darker blue like the one above for a different project.

its a spray can of krylon fusion for plastic i got it at walmart they only had 2 colors of blue one was a royal blue color and the other one (that i got) was this deep blue

2326 navy is the name of the color

i had to spray the bezel twice cause it started to rub off, so the 2nd time i did it i used a can of rust-oleum crystal clear enamel(after the blue paint was dry) its like a art work sealer and that seems to have done the trick

cool thanks…i might go that route then.

dang these look nicer everytime someone post new pictures. Maybe ill order from you soon arthong.

what up arthong. if if wasn’t for your sticky i would have never came across this thread. your products looks pretty nice so i ordered some plexi today. can’t wait for my shipment. thanks in advance.

that is one nice goddamn looking stick

nice stick, now you can win with Class =P

Hi,

Where can I get the *.cdr file with template to cut the plexi myself?

Is it officialy released or do I have to measure the exact dimensions myself/ ask somebody from skr?

greetz

sorry for double posting, but i couldnt find my other post in this or any other thread (‘search’ doesn’t work)

I saw copy of your Post here in Trading Outlet.

There are two Searches that SRK has.
The Search that uses Google; located on same bar with User CP and Log Out.
The other Search is the Forum Search; located below the Log Out when browsing a Forum.

And what you mean you couldn’t find your other Post?
You only have three total; one in Trading Outlet, one in Street Fighter IV, and this one in Tech Talk.

I am getting my TE stick dual modded, are there any known conflicts with using any of the plexi top covers on a dual modded stick?

I don’t see why this would be a problem, but I thought I would ask anyways.

The plexi affects the gigawatz of the cthulu board and stops it from going exactly 88 miles per hour, so you can’t dual mod with plexi, sadly.

but doc…

Ooooh, very nice tips. Hmm, I need to go through my threads and compile your guy’s tips onto the site. Of course… I want the showcase to be up too… yeah… some day I’ll get to everything =P.

And thanks to you too!

There is no “official” release that I’m aware of. All the designs here were made by me meticulously measuring the dimensions and testing. And I apologize in advance as I am not distributing those cdr’s.

Well… what Raeli says should be considered so try at your own risk

Lol. In short, it’s a piece of plastic over your stick. Unless you’re planning to run circuitry on top of your panel where a plastic cover will get in the way, then I doubt there will be any conflict =).

Just a heads up that the OP has been updated within the Trading Outlet for Arthong. Now go make use of his amazing product/services!

with the extended plexi how much lower does the plexi sit without the bezel being there? is it nearly flush with the edge?

New ideas on the horizon

A few ideas to float around.

**1) Clear and Translucent Colored Dust Covers to match your color theme. **

I should have the Clear ones available within a week or so, per a few requests. Personally I’m not sure how it will look showing just the hole from the joystick, but it will be an option. However… I’m also thinking lets do some full etchings on it so it won’t be just plain clear. Obviously you can’t really fit a lot on the dust cover size, but perhaps some sort of design will do.

But what I’m really looking forward to is a translucent version with various colors. The Tricky part to this is finding the material at 1/16" thickness. Majority of colored acrylic sheets start at 1/8", obviously a bit too thick for a dust cover. Regardless, I will continue my search for a good source on that and hopefully give you guys some good news on it.

**2) HRAP3/EX/HRAP1/T5 Extended Plexi-covers. **

Similar to the TE Extended, or TE Full, this will extend past the panel area and cover the rest of the flat surface of the stick, giving you more even palm spacing, and more area for your artwork interests. May be another couple of weeks before I can get to this as it’ll take time to work on the curvature adjustments (It’s not as easy as just increasing the size of the pattern). But rest assured, it is in the works and it will be done.

**3) A Mirror Acrylic Panel? **

hmmmmmm, there’s food for thought. Not sure on the audience of this, but pretty much consider a full panel cover made from Mirror Acrylic with potential etchings from the back.

There is a catch, and the Mirror Acrylic comes smallest in 1/8". While buttons will still fit snug, you won’t really get a snap to it. One of my HRAP3’s still uses a 1/8 Acrylic with artwork and the buttons don’t show any sign of coming loose so I can at least tell you the buttons should be fine. It’s a matter of making one and testing to see how the etching worksout and to see if there’s an audience for it. Oh, and mirror acrylic is a bit more costly so it’s definitely one of those unique things. Nonetheless, another option for the many differences in taste.

Or use as a weapon… Your opponent pissing you off? Quickly position your stick to reflect direct sunlight upon your opponent’s eyes!

Not sure when I’ll get to experimenting on this yet, but it’s on my list.

4) Bottom Plexi for TE

A plexi to fit the full bottom area of the TE, for those who would like art all around =).
