Artists you'd like to see do the backstories?

Finally! Someone who knows GOOD comic book artists!
Nakahira would be awesome, I’m buzzing on his stuff at the moment because I just ordered Ryu Final and got this swanky Ryu Final key Ring!

Other dream choices would be:

  • Jaime Hernandez
  • Junko Mizuno
    and Toyokazu Matsunaga. ^.^

Man i just looked at your site and that is mad ugly drawings. I don’t know why you are even talking about good artist when you are no where close to even being one.

Jaime hernandez? looks like a bootleg Alex Toth to me. Came straight from the 80’s. Wack.

If you think I need approval from the likes of you, you’re sadly mistaken my friend.

Now go and learn.

Btw thanks for checking out my site - you can also check my comics at http://kappacom.invisiware.com

I think those are some really nice works. But how come there are just a few? By the way, how bout some SF character works?

After seeing his/her art, I’d like to see Falcoon.

Cameron Stewart (Currently doing SEAGUY with Grant Morrison)
Glenn Fabry (AUTHORITY: MORE KEV)
Steve Dillon (PREACHER)
Amanda Conner (THE PRO, TWO-STEP)
Gary Frank (SUPERGIRL, HULK, SUPEREME POWER)
Darick Robinson (TRANSMETROPOLITAN, WOLVERINE)
Chris Weston (THE FILTH, MINISTRY OF SPACE)
Eduardo Risso (100 BULLETS)

Off the top of my head…

me

King9999 - Who is this “Falcon” character? That art is amazing!

Another one of Falcon’s galleries with familiar faces:

It’s Falcoon. With two Os.

And though he/she’s done a lot of Capcom fanart and contract work, I believe Falcoon currently works for SNK. He/she did the character artwork and promotional poster for KoF2k3.

That is some of the most inspiring colorwork I’ve seen in a long time. Good on Falcoon for that amazing art!

I’d love to see Ron Lim do a back story since he’s my favourite comic book artist.

I’ve also seen Falcoon’s work, and I’m very impressed by it.

Hmm, that interesting. I’ve never heard of anyone saying he was there favorite artist. But I agree that would be cool. Ron Lim is great.

I would love to see some come back!

Arnold Tsang and Joe Madureira back together! Though Joe’s schedule…
Arn’s “realitic” painting style, I want more of that!

and also, the awesome Hyung Tae Kim!!

Wow! That Falcoon Art is awesome! I love that drawing he did for Arcadia Magazine with Mai and Chun-Li stairing each other down hard for SVC.

As far as Liefeld goes, he’s really great with co-creating great characters. He had his hand in creating Cable, Deadpool, Shatterstar and many many others. His artwork is not that great IMHO but he diserves all the props in the world for helping create lots of Amazing Characters, one of them (Cable) who even landed in Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

I don’t want to see him do a SF back-up however…

Well, Silver Surfer is my favorite comic, and Ron Lim draws the best Silver Surfer, so he’s my favorite artist
Though whoever drew the cover for the issue that came out this month did a spectacular job.

Street Fighter is quickly becoming a close second though! It’s definitely my favorite comic out right now. The new Surfer is…pretty good I guess :stuck_out_tongue:

I havnt been reading SS, so I wouldnt know. What I dont know is the first story arc for Silver Surfer was supposed be drawn by this guy (whos name I forget), but anyways, the moron decided he had better stuff to do and stopped sending in his work. The guy had a deal to draw for Marvel and fucked it up. I was so pissed. If Marvel asked me to draw a comic…they would be stupid as fuck, but I would still try my damndest.

Yeah, that was MILX. He’s some guy working out of the Phillipines they contracted out to do the art, and he just sort of vanished off the face of the earth. He showed up a few months later, but he’s working on some other projects or something.

The book ended up getting delayed for a couple months while they got another artist. It’s back on track now though.

But Middleton has an exclusive contract with DC as well. Although I’m guessing that he probably was committed to the project before signing the contract.
