Artists you'd like to see do the backstories?

ooh, good one.

Haradaya. The Disgaea artist.

Man if Rob liefield did the back-up story, I wouldn’t even touch the comic. Pass up the comic isle like I would pass go on monopoly.

He just plain sucks. nuff said.

Re: Good suggestions

LICK ME OFF!!!

Shirow For Backup!!

I absolutely loved Hyung-Tae Kim’s backup story, especially as Cammy is my favourite SF character. But i would love more than anything to see a backup story by the legendary ā€˜Masamune Shirow’! If only Udon could get hold of him for a backup, that would be amazing in my opinion… Perhaps for a Cammy vs Chun Li battle or something involving ā€˜Juli, Juni and all the other Dolls’.
Personally, i would love to see that.
Anyway, keep up the astounding work on the SF comic UDON, its just perfect…

I’m not sure, but I think that’s what the Talent Search was.

Sorry I don’t swing that way gaylord.

Please lick me off?

in any even remotly respectible comic convo you will NEVER hear rob as being described as talented.
he is known to be the worst in human form, and he is so static that it hurts. rob sucks…drawing 100000 lines around the eyes and mouth don’t make a pic good.

i somewhat agree to an extent that rob liefield isn’t the best artist. alot of the time his Cable seems inconsistent from one pic to the other

back to not bashin rob liefield, should leinil f yu b nominmated for a street fighter back up stint. his art is very unique as it feels sketchy but works well. he did one of my favourite x-men books (x-men #112) as is currently at his 12 month run of superman birthright.

jo chen is a she and hot one at that go check her site
http://www.jo-chen.com/
heres my recommendations

damien scott-he’s currently doing a run on robin

keron grant-did a bunch of stuff its crazy

lesean-he’s like the new prodigy child for comics…he’s done a cover i believe.

ed mguinness-superman,thundercats

fred perry(godfather of americmanga)-legacy,gold digger

pop mahn-spyboy

about rob liefield:on artxilla forum we compare dhis new work to his work from like 5-10 yrs ago…i hasn’t changed…at all.

i think lesean will b doin the backup to #9. i don’t think yoshiro nightnow will b doin it even though he is doin cover A.

ed mcguiness i agree on, hes done gd on superman batman
keron grant would b cool as well

Hirohiko Araki (JoJo’s Venture series)

How about it Udon?

I know it’s a long shot.

But he’s worked with Capcom before. And his artwork rocks the house.

Isn’t Ed McGuiness already going to do one?

-Kent

I’d like to see some art from Akiman. A short story or a 1 page comic or just some random scribblings…

And I second Tsutomu Nihei. A quick story from Hiroaki Samura would be cool too.

I’d like to see SFMC do a back-up story. I would be willing to draw, ink, and color it. So Udoneko what say you?

Besides him I’m rooting for Ed.

My nominiees to do a back-up story would be:

  1. Phillip Tan (Uncanny X-Men: The Draco)
  2. Fred Perry (Gold Digger)

And #3. Sora Inoue for his artwork on the manga ā€œSamurai Girl Real Bout High Schoolā€ would be cool to see a back-up done by him. Also, I will also nominate him as canidate to pencil Rival Schools:D

He also used (havent touched anything of his for years) to be awful with perspective.
