Art of Fighting Anthology

Sorry if this thread isn’t well received, I know Art of Fighting isn’t the most popular fighting series ever or anything, but since I have really broken my back looking for some general info/tiers for the AoF games, specifically PotW: AOF3, I decides I would start a thread to see if anyone knows a thing or two about this uber old trilogy of games.

Thx.

Yeah I’ve been wondering about Tiers for this game for a while now, lol. So DG or anyone got any info on that?

Ryo is broken from what I’ve seen. He’s got 100% juggle combos from anywhere on the screen.

That’s the whole roster actually LOL

I didn’t think AoF was balanced enough to actually have tiers. The characters are all over the place.

I also didn’t think anyone played it seriously.

2 had to be the most played really. 3 looked good but played like shit.

Yeah sadly, it does devolve badly after a while, seeing as some characters aren’t designed well. Some characters don’t have proper overheads and throws whiff crouching opponents!

As far as Im concerned, Kasumi dominates AoF3. She has a death combo from her overhead, The wave is just everything (spacing tool, anti-air, chipping beast, safe, 1/3rd life on hit) and all of her normals have strong priority, especially her BO normal. In the other hand, Jin seems like the worst character in the game, and his matchup vs. Kasumi is nearly unwinnable.

Shiki: If you are talking about AoF3 Ryo, can you tell me what move(s) he has to land to go into his death combo?

Looks to be his f+C or something.
He doesn’t even really need his KI to do 100%!
BROKEN.

Mad broken.

What idiot would neg rep me in this thread? That baffles me…

The AoF 2 endings are the most hilarious shit SNK ever translated for their english releases XD.
I wonder if they were more serious in the JP ver.?

Seconded. Those endings are awesome. John’s ending had to be my favorite. It was just too insane. Though the platant racism in Mickey’s ending came a close second. Also Mr. Big singing “we are the champions”. Man, those endings were screwed up.

I remember playing this game when I was around seven years old. Back then, I had trouble doing a simple QCF motion.

I only liked playing AoF2 online. It’s got a neat system and speed to it.
