So I have been slowly working on my arcade cabinet and right now I’m working on a CP overlay. This arcade is going to be running Mame and have all kinds of games, but mostly 2 person fighter games. I have noticed so awesome art come out of this forum and wanted you guys to check it out and give me some more ideas maybe. I can’t upload the whole file because its 400 megs. So all I have is this pict that doesn’t show the whole CP. It measures 32" x 12". There is actually a couple of more inches on the left and right that have been cut out so I can make this file viewable.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but your designs look like someone stuck a bunch of street fighter stickers to a cabinet and called it a day. Similar to how all those black guitar hero controllers with a bunch of stickers look.
I think you should take a single image and build a motif around that image so that the whole thing looks like a coherent whole.
As an example, here is a motif built around the Flaming SRK.
Don’t even worry dude, I did take some pictures I like a paste them on. I’m not a artist so I put some pictures I liked on there. I do see your point, it makes sense. I’m still trying to figure out a texture or pattern to use.
Texture and pattern aren’t really necessary. Just the Shinryuken in between the two player controls is pretty nice. Just enlarge a bit and make sure the art goes all the way to the edge.
If I have time tonight, I’ll do a quick mock up of what i’m talking about.
