ART DUMP! (30 new images on the last page)

dope ass shit! that’s all i got to say cause I don’t know much about art.

EDIT: oh wait I do know something. Good use of negative space.

Cardboard, BIC pen, and an exacto knife.
A bit different.
i’m going to paint the cut out parts blue to resemble water.

Awesome work and idea.

whoa, I really like this. Cardboard octopus is cool too

Good shit man, I’m liking it.

any chance we can see more of the loose watercoloring? the one where the brush isnt so dry? i really liked it when you outlined those and the lines didnt seem so clean and were a bit wavy

no prob fist…any specifics you want to see? color scheme? character? content? inspiration?

OK i’m not done with the guy yet, but i’m looking for ideas for the BG. The idea i’m going with is that this “bum” is really supposed to be death.
Any thought for a BG? It won’t be as detailed as the man, but i want something different…
Lemme know!

Hmm. For a background, I’m seeing something like the color black slowly dripping down from the top. Otherwise it’s very nice, took me a while to see the skull in his eye.

good shit as usual:tup:

that cartoon octopus is too good

I really like the coloring on the cardboard! It looks almost real! And nice job overall!

Thanks guys.
Scissorman…the cardboard actually is real. I wanted to see if i could put a real image in a drawing and not have it be distracting, which usually it seems to be. I think it works and doesn’t stand out in a negative way…or am i wrong?

I think you managed to blend it in pretty well. I’d never have guessed.

It does blend in really well with the rest of the drawing! I would have never guessed either!

really? hmmm ^^; i guess cuz i’ve used the same technique for a class i know. but it wasn’t to this skill or detail. great use of the actual cardboard for the background too. i wouldn’t think of cutting into the cardboard instead of just the surface.

you’re new one’s awesome. haha at first i thought it was old bum robin… then i realized he’s blonde…

Great stuff Wombat. I like what you did with the octopus on cardboard!

i’m a little confused as to where you’re light source is in your frankenstein, esp in the forehead and nose. the shadow placement in the forehead would suggest it’s sunken in but it’s not dark enough for that, and i’m sure it’s not being covered up by anything. and on the nose it’s darker on the front but light on the sides, whereas the cheeks and the front of the neck are lit. on the other hand the blues and purples are killing with the green. awesome zombie too. i’ve always loved your backgrounds
