Arrow: The Green Arrow TV show

they coulda at least gave that nigga a bronzer tan and a bigger goatee.

It’s too late to argue about white-washing, Liam Neeson playing the role beforehand (and defining it) kind of ensures that.

Liam Neeson is the definitive face of Ra’s Al Ghul, more people are likely to recognize the character as a white British guy than someone of possible Arab/European descent in the comics.

I’m not saying it’s completely right or anything like that, but Liam Neeson playing the role sets a precedent for who else can play the role after him. Ra’s Al Ghul as a villain wasn’t that popular to people who didn’t read the comics, so who played him in Batman Begins defines the character the most.

Now maybe if DC/WB makes a competent attempt at creating a cinematic universe, one that makes use of other comic-book characters outside of a select few, then you might see the original take on Ra’s Al Ghul and others who actually matter in the collective thoughts of the mass-audience.

Also…

I called it, guys, I called it.

Sara knows the person who killed her, didn’t consider that person an enemy, that person is an archer, and we all know it’s not Roy, Nyssa, Ollie, or Malcolm. The only people Sara would have looked at like that before dying would either be Thea (might have been taught how to use a bow by Malcolm) or a League member, who honestly thinks it’s Thea?

I’m just surprised is all. Why would Ra’s wait until NOW to do the deed? Not to mention pussying out a bit by basically pinning it on Merlyn.

The Ra’s I know would’ve made a goddamn example of Sara if it came down to needing to kill her. Idk, this Ra’s has the presence and voice but right now is suffering from that Slade bullshit where they’re messing too much with his personality (though Slade of course had an excuse).

-Kill Sara
-Blame Malcolm
-Ollie drags Thea back home because now he’s worried too much about Malcolm
-Malcolm is likewise drug home, target acquired
-???
-Kill Malcolm

That’s my guess on R’as’ plan. It’s hairbrained, though, I hope the show actually does something better.

Also they are setting up the Nyssa/R’as split, this will obviously play into the R’as/Ollie conflict.

Now that you mention, it that is unlike Ra’s to cop out like that, he’s never been one to deny what he’s done.

I’m hoping there’s some master strategy at work, cuz that is not something I’m used to seeing from the character

There’s plenty of problems with that.

  • In order to properly place the crime on Malcolm in the first place Malcolm will have had to be within the city to begin with which he was. Sara had seen him a few times during recon if we can take those photos at face value.
  • Because of that they didn’t need to do anything to drag them home (and Ollie didn’t drag Thea home due to Malcolm as he didn’t even know he was alive until now). He was already around.
  • Oh and the main one, HE WAS ALREADY A PRIORITY TARGET FOR THE LEAGUE! They don’t need to pin the blame on him to go after him, and as I said he was already visiting Starling on numerous occasions.

So far nothing adds up for any side. Makes no sense for Merlyn to kill Sara and Ra’s being behind it seems very suspect in itself.

Ra’s doesn’t seem like the type of person to frame someone. He would tell you if he ordered someone’s death…why would he need to cover his ass? He’s a badass and he knows it.

lol@ you guys holding this show to comic standards.EL OH EL

thea isnt even remotely close to a threat to the league. they would never kill her, they would go directly after merlyn or use her to draw him out in the open.

Even without holding it to comic standards it still makes no sense for Ra’s to go about killing Sara this way.

I’m late as fuck but Ollie and Felicities date wouldn’t have been interrupted if they just stay in and boned like jackrabbits.

Half the time Ra’s is pasty white as fuck.

The real problem - why the fuck is Ra’s Australian?

First Slade (NZ actor, but they turned Slade into an ASIO operative rather than US Army), now Ra’s. I say this as an Australian myself.

A Mom I’d Like to Fuck[/details]

That’s her mom???

Felicity inherited well.

But, at least we finally have an explanation for why Felicity has her fashion sense. By which, I just mean her usual wardrobe of classy dresses, not DAT DRESS she wore on that date with Barry.

Also, it just dawned on me. Felicity’s mom looks EXACTLY how I would imagine Dinah Drake, just older.

If you want to see how Felicity looked before she met Ollie
