Yes, you are. While I wouldn’t mind a bit more flashback prominence, in the end, it’s all inevitability which hurts the appeal to most.
Actually, I always thought the flashbacks were the highlights of the show. It was what initially kept me watching in the beginning (because those segments were superb) and it served as a nice contrast to see just how much Ollie had grown from the annoying brat that he used to be.
Also. Crixus. When I first watched the show I knew I remembered Slade from somewhere lol. Now he just FITS as Slade in my opinion.
I thought the flashbacks were far more interesting in Season 1.
But now I find the present time way more interesting than the flashbacks in Season 2. Not to say the flashbacks are bad, cuz they’re still great
It depends on the aftermath of Merlyn’s death. What did they do to his body? If it somehow “disappeared” when Ollie tried to find Laurel, sure it makes sense. I assumed they at least had some form of funeral (or burning since they hated him that badly) for the “corpse.”
It also hurts that the new FB conflicts feel forced, rather than the more organic stuff before. I mean, they already essentially cleaned up the island before, so they had to bring in an outside threat which really isn’t all that threatening. Plus the Fellowship of the Slade was destined to break up eventually so they’re also putting it into overdrive with the love triangle.
Nice ending to this episode. This show is pretty good.
Merilyn being alive is not surprising at all considering he is with the League of Assassins anyways. Bitch is hard to kill.

I didnt want them to crossover in BvS, seeing as Wonder Woman will likely be in that already…but I would have liked them in JLA, which I am hoping is still an option
