actually no…livejournal exists for that reason. facebook exists for the theory of making friends…instead you use it like you are constantly on your period pissing and moaning. shit you literally just went into pms mode in your first sentence…wah wah wah not my fault. grow up and man up…stop blaming every female and ex that its their fault and your the perfect b/f. damn i hope not all canadians are as big of pussies as you. no wonder canada did a week long riot after losing what they love. yall just cant man the fuck up…riot for a day or 2 and go back to work and get shit done to be better next time. instead of making a million excuses why you clearly arent at fault.
You’re point is invalid because we’ve had great shows like LOST turn to shit for this very reason. Smallville jumped the shark because of entire seasons of filler.
Never watched Lost so I can’t comment there. It took Smallville a few seasons to get any ongoing story started. There was a lot of monster of the week in the beginning. I dropped out after the guy who played Luthor left.
Watch previous seasons of Nikita on the CW, it’s one of the few shows I’ve seen with 20+ awesome episodes. It’s like the writers are using black magic to do something that amazing.
Too bad the show is underrated because of good-looking cast members, but at least it’ll have a final season to go out on.
Edit: There is a lot of off-topic posts in here, and I’m the only one getting a notice? LOL!
If it makes whoever feel better, I’ll gladly say that I hope Arrow keeps up its momentum going into S2. And Nikita is one of the few quality shows on CW besides this and Supernatural.
It seems to me like season1 is some sort of trial run, then the studio/investors will put more money down for more episodes. This doesn’t seem to be the case with the UK shows.
I’d argue that the limited episodes number of UK shows derive from a limited budget, and not necessarily because of quality. Inadvertently the limited episode count has a lead to producing quality storytelling in that region, and it’s something that US television networks is trying to adopt to some degree (while cable TV took the first steps to doing so).
Downsides? Both sides still have profited more off of reality TV…
even UK comedies that has zero production value to it only have 6 episodes, I don’t think it has anything to do with quality, but the way they do TV over there is just different.
More arrow episodes the better in my opinion. Since it’s based off the comics, there’s literally hundreds of story lines they can do.
we actually took the concept of limited number of episodes from the brits. thats where all those weird half seasons come from for sci fi channels old shows like stargate.
well scifi channel was the first to play this game. They tended to split it between fall and summer, it was odd timing at first. noooow everyone got smart and does it during sweeps but at first it wasnt working like that from what i remember in the early days of breaking seasons up. i noticed at first it was purely just scifi shows that did it, it took other networks a while to realize this idea.
