Episode 6 after show with Stephen Amell
Amell says that Laurel won’t be kicking ass like her sister was anytime soon, but it’s still a TV show so we should give the writers some slack.Yeah, I don’t really like Laurel being Black Canary. Bitch needs a few cheeseburgers to make that look work. Plus, I just never liked Laurel to begin with. Thea > Laurel
No one really LIKES Laurel but compared to last season she’s a lot more tolerable to deal with.
I really think they should’ve taken the entire season to build this up though rather than throw her to the fire so soon.
Not sure why Geoff Johns was quick to reveal Laurel as Black Canary…was it to beat the spoilers or something?

I’m pretty sure Sara giving Laurel her jacket was a big “Duh” to her being Black Canary. I’m love Roy more and more.
Diggle was so OC when he told Ollie to just let him go. They are so quick to just assume that all of Felicity’s findings are conclusive and concrete. I really don’t think Roy killed her and I’m glad Ollie brought up the arrows as some sort of mental trigger that is imbedded in him now from pretty much being around it all the time now.

Diggle has that military mentality kicking in - it’s not really out of character. Nobody wants an unstable weapon, which is what Roy was/is.
But is it really Roy’s fault that he was roid ragin’? He was OD’ing on Mirakuru cause Slade (
) and it made him wonky. So, of course he was gonna be unstable, but to just throw Roy under the bus like that? Obviously, Ollie had feelings and a “thing” with Sara, but you can tell the obvious bond between Roy and Ollie and for Diggle to just try to break that because of a possibility? Dreams =/= hard evidence and even they couldn’t get DNA off the arrows that were supposedly thrown at Sara. I’m sure Felicity would’ve been able to pull up something if Roy’s DNA was on it. He’s had runs in with the law plenty of times and her taking his blood work and stuff? I’m sure they have enough to be able to pin it in Roy if it was really him. But she said it was inconclusive. C’mon. Diggle is suppose to be Ollie’s voice of reason and telling him to cut Roy loose was more emotional than logical. Roy was obviously remorseful about everything he did up to that point and really wants to do right by Oliver and the team. I just feel bad that Oliver’s meditation unlocked a bunch of Roy’s repressed memories when he was on his Mirakuru binge.
I’d scream if Slade was able to escape Lian Yu and came back to wreck Sara’s face and try to destroy Oliver’s spirit once more.

YOOOO, i have to fast forward through the laurel parts sometimes. She is so fucking ugly now after that weight lost. Its actually painful for my soul to deal with. I hope she gains some weight, as she still seems to be thin, and or recast her ass please. GTFO with that eating disorder shit.
I actually went to her twitter before i finished season 1, and i thought i was on the wrong page. I see why i thought that now, going into season 2. Fuck shes ugly!

She had a very noticeable weight drop before, but now she has balanced out and put on some muscle.

Her sunken cheeks are gone, she doesn’t look starved like she did last season. And she is starting to look like she does more than use the step up machine. Perhaps toned would have been a better word to use.

Supposedly there was an interview she did where she said the weight loss in season 2 was intentional to give the drug/alcohol addict look. In any case, I’m glad she’s starting to look better this season.
That’s some dedication for this teen show. Somewhat impressed, but at the same time WTF are you thinking? Let’s be honest, how the girls look is half the attraction to these shows. You’re ruining your health and getting uglier for a show that hasn’t broken the top 100 in ratings.
Damn, get her on the Walking Dead to show the cast some true fucking dedication.

Canary isn’t Canary without the scream. Just off that alone, it was a terrible idea to make Laurel the character.
Not once did I believe Sara to be Canary. They didn’t push that angle, especially when the LoA got involved in her story. The wig and costume was just a coincidence.
But this shit? It doesn’t work. Canary is one of the best hand to hand fighters in the whole DCU. Not some fucking lawyer that just started boxing not too long ago.
Yeah and I bet Black Canary wasn’t the best Hand to Hand fighter when starting out.

Sarah was “the Canary.” She had a device to make a high pitched cry in her first episodes. Laurel can use something like that too.
They should just make her meta.
They removed all the elements that made BC a great character. What they did to BC is basically what the live action SF movie did to the SF cast.
