so Michael Cera is on board finally. movie is official now. it’s being written as we speak.
FINALLY! As long as Mitch Hurwitz is helming this, I trust it will be an orgasm for the soul…
kinda surprised that Cera would be holding out, would think one of the “bigger named” stars would be the ones fucking shit up :wonder:
Yeah, it’s been going around for a while that Cera was the hold up. Someone asked Mitch if the rumors were true that Arnett and Cera were holding up production, and his answer was something like Will Arnett is very excited to do the film…
Cera was most likely doing it for money reasons, which, with his post AD success I can understand.
I can’t wait for this movie.
Ha yeah. Expecially since every movie Cera has been in, he has basically been playing George Michael, so why would there be any hesitation, lol. But who cares, he’s on board, and we will get our movie
And Tobias > *
“Its called a forget-me-now!”
LOOK AT MOVIE MICHAEL!
I’m gonna see this shit twice.
Seems like a good time to watch the entire run again…
Man, Arrested Development is the most overrated TV program I’ve every seen.
Lol, that was misplaced in this thread. It was either an attempt at trolling, or just silliness. No one cares if you incorrectly think AD is overrated. That’s like saying waking up to two girls slobbering on your cock every morning is overrated…especially among AD fans…
I’ll let you decide which. But if this show was as good as you make it out to be this show wouldn’t have been canceled in 50 episodes.
Don’t shoot the messenger.
That’s wholely untrue…look at Freaks and Geeks…AMAZING show…probably the best high schoool show ever made, and it lasted 18 fucking episodes. Also on Fox BTW, a station known for cancelling shows after very few seasons…Fox goes through more shows than any other channel…they are cancel crazy…
Sorry. Never saw Freaks and Geeks. Maybe I will check it out, but in my experience, entertaining shows always stay. Good shows might be canceled, but “good” is a lot more subjective. AD may have been good, but it wasn’t "entertaining and it got axed.
That’s capitalism. Another inconvenient truth you gotta deal with in America. shrugs
For every 1 person who loves the show, their are 100 people who saw it and don’t miss it. I’m actually rounding up on that approval number. Obviously their are very few people who were interested in this show. Their are also people who think Dan Brown is a good writer, but they have poor taste too.
Fuck that…Superbad is the only thing dude has.
Will Arnett, David Cross own AD.
I’d still watch the movie if Cera wasn’t there…
The difference is, AD is almost wholely accepted as one of the finest written comedies on television. Did you know Citizen Kane did horrible in the theaters? Does that reflect the quality of the movie? Look at American Idol, is it the best show on TV? It gets the highest ratings…soooo…
Point is, majority rules doesn’t work in mental institutions
/NOFX
Citizen Kane did horribly because the top media mogul of the time put a lot of time money and effort into seeing it fail. I’m sure you know that though. The U.S., despite it’s faults, is not a mental institution., yet Their are a lot of people with different tastes. American Idol is not a show for me, but I understand it’s appeal.
I also understand the potential appeal for AD. It just wasn’t good enough to have broad appeal.
The good news is you can love AD forever because it will NEVER be popular and you don’t have to worry about dumping it once everyone starts liking it like a Pop band.
The bad news is that this show is overrated and it takes a lot of cognitive dissonance to not only claim the show didn’t deserve to be tossed to the wolves, but the show was actually decent.
Sorry. If it makes you feel better, their are some sucky shows that I like.:wonder:
So what Calibur is saying, is that the show that got cancelled due to poor ratings, is a show that is over-rated. Not the brightest spoon in the drawer, is our Calibur.
Except AD was EXACTLY like Citizen Kane in the fact that Fox gave up supporting it after the first season. they kept cutting it’s episode count and NEVER advertised it. Shit, they ran the last 4 eps on the same night, up against the opening of the Olympics…you are correct, it was the quality of the show that brought it’s demise…
Also, you didn’t need to tell me you liked some shitty shows, the assessment of AD was enough to tell me that…
