can you guys explain the stagger effect and what weapons grant this effect?

You say that like it wasn’t true in AC4A.

I never played 4A.

4 was a steaming pile of shit and I didn’t want to even attempt to play 4A.

Stagger is when you lose control of your AC, weapons with high impact such as shotguns and cannons, etc, will cause stagger, having high stability will make it harder for you to become stagged while head parts (forgot the name of the stat) will speed up recovery time once you become stagged. AC weight position and state all effect this though I’m not sure by how much in AC5.

Stunlocking has always been a strong strat in AC games i was ranked 3 in AC4 running dual shotguns vert missiles and rocket extensions, there was also some very beasty tank setups in the older games that could touch of death you with massive stunlock ability.

4A was quite a lot better than AC4 especially with 1.40 regs, though 1.20 regs were abysmal

So to be able to stun lock you have to combo 2 weapons togetther that have very high impact rate?

Also how do you donkey kick other Ac’s?

I felt the same way, then I played 4A and was amazed at how fucking amazing it was, second favorite AC game behind Silent Line.

This AC has potential, gatling guns are bs and energy weapons feel useless outside of pulse cannons. Heavy reverse joints are so common its stupid. If they fix those two the things the game does right are actually pretty awesome, I love the wall jumping and the fact that energy swords take some skill to use now. I just need to figure out how you get weapons to get stats the way you want them, I have one lotus specced for power thats completely different from the other.

Those things are already fixed in Japan. Namco is just dropping the ball on bringing the patches over.

Made hands down two of the stupidest AC’s today, and somehow I’ve been destroying with them in free battles against almost only HRJ’s with dual gats.

First build is light reverse joint with dual seidenbaums specced for power, then ox eye pistol on back with the jewel wood heat howitzer. Prochnyi gen and that baryu booster. Just run and light people up with the seidenbaums, if they get close switch to bay weapons.

The second is probably my favorite AC I’ve ever built through all the armored core games Ive ever played. Medium bipedal with the 4 shot karasawa, moon light, and lotus br. Had to throw the ammo capacity shoulders on there since 5 fully charged karasawa shots will even bring down a tank. Basically has every part I like in the game on it wrapped up in a freakishly fast package. this thing owns in PVP, I took down two HRJ gat AC’s in a row without getting hit. Due to the better turning speed of bipeds its really easy to set up moon light hits.

I was wondering if it’s possible to level up the team level without playing online. I haven’t bought this game yet, and I have a really slow internet connection. I’m curious since it appears that leveling up the team level is the only way to gain certain parts.

Yes pretty much just mess around with weapon combos, don’t forget about shoulder weapons rockets are very good at close range. it depends on your target as well though you’re not going to stun a tank or heavy quad much

to get the kick just hold down the quick boost button

I stole that dual pile driver build too much fun, I’m not japanese though so I’m not good enough to use it.

All weapons specialized for power. Not easy to use at all but very strong, if you swap the legs out to the ULG 21 you can fit the phoenix sentry gun and ho vital to replace the moonlight and generator, this tends to be the much better set up for team battles.

A lot of people don’t like the burya and putting it on a AC with the ugn 71 or ho vital is hard to handle, you need to be really good about using scan mode intelligently or you will out of energy pretty quickly. You can switch to the shinatsu if you want which actually works decently but then I would suggest not using the moonlight because you lack the speed to get into range for it.

Basically be tricky and go for fully charged Karasawa shots, if you land 5 of them you killed something pretty damn easily, if you miss a shot or something you have the lotus and moonlight to finish off targets. Most Acs don’t run the burya online Ive noticed so it should be easy to close with most targets and cut them in half.

Good stuff, I can’t wait for the patches to drop, so I can see some variety, sick of gats and RJ’s, that and Missile sentry needs fixing, not to mention blades and the laser base weapons got buffed.

Im confident in my Pile drivers and blade skills that now Im move up to smashing guys face in with that huge slap of concrete. lol

Lol yeah pile drivers are awesome. Sadly I got sucked into SG pretty hard and haven’t logged on in a while. I got some play time in at my buddies for a bit, he runs some insane shit that I couldn’t even start to use, but he was wrecking with it. Dual 4 shot karasawas on heavy legs with nothing else but his knee… he didn’t lose a match and was mulching cookie cutter builds for free.

I need help with this game, what do I do now that I got wrecked by that badass bad mech from the 1st mission?
