well the fact that you cant possibly imagine another side to a lawsuit rife with subjective claims tell akot about your critical thinking skills hahaa but here goes
im callling it like this, the following will outline the defense:
-kimmy wymmi gets highest nominal raw grade (by 0.05 or whatecver margin), gets congrstulatoins from faculty, peers etc.
-official stanardized processed GPA calculation then comes in (accounting for credit hours, etc), and kymmi wymmi is tied – no, BEHIND!(as long as im being policlly incrct i might as well go all out)
-school officials are in the copy room talkinhg likke: 1:“dang what are we gonna do? We already congratulted her, wee cant take it away now.” -2:“she’s a black, single mother who did so unbeleivably well in her situation, she should be a role model for the student body” -3:“and you know she gonna pull the race card” -4:“wow, this is going to be a big mess” --heresay
-school oficials decide to award joint status while ms wymmi talks factless ish about her feelings

The school was inflexible about scheduling an appeal in a timely manner. It doesn’t appear that school officials have disputed this in any way, so let’s assume it is a fact. If the school was inflexible about this decision, I’d say that’s cause to doubt a hypothetical scenario in which the school is flexible. Making a statistical blunder and generously including the black student as co-valedictorian anyway is pretty damn flexible.

Sure, it’s possible. But anything is possible. Given what we know, is it reasonable or unreasonable to suppose that there is negative racial discrimination at work here?

but i think the decision regarding valedictorian status was that of the school principle/administration.
while the the inflexibility regarding Ms Wymberly’s appeal had nothing to do with the school and was completely at the behest of the distrcit’s superintendent…

so im claiming that the school district is ‘acting in a way inconsistant with the higher authorities’ simply because you say that the school did somehthing you consider flexible while the superintendent/district did something else (in a completely separate event; actions not directly opposed to each other) that you find inflexible? Tthat is a real stratch, unless youve already made up your mind that this is a raciakly motivated conspiracy

Like Hubcap’s, this story is plausible, but it also appears to be purely speculative–evidence need not apply.

Not like the article I just came across, in which the superintendent states that the other girl took extra coursework (presumably lowering her overall GPA) that did not count toward her honors, which is apparently means that, on the district’s authority, she cannot be penalized. There’s your defense, Hubcap.
